Tang's extensive research on organic electronics, especially OLEDs, culminated in his discovery of a highly luminous and efficient layered thin-film structure with separated functions, has remained one of the most important technological contributions in today's display industry.
Yamagata University, a national university, which is a large research center on Organic Electronics such as OLED, and University of Aizu, a public university, who has strength on division of Information Sciences and has already spawned many IT venture companies, joined hands to promote world-leading technological research and development.
In this area, we are introducing cutting-edge technology and factoring in market needs using open innovation on our proprietary technology platform in an effect to be the first in future applications, and our joint research with Prof. Tokito's team at the Research Center for Organic Electronics, Yamagata University, is one part of that effort.

Researchers of Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology(IWS) and Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems(IKTS) will hold talks at Germany-Japan Joint Workshop"Organic Electronics".
Applied research focusses on functionalised organic electronics, luminescent materials and porous carriers as well as nanotechnology, detection technology, energy storage and conversion.
Since the phase can be changed by applying external stimuli such as electric and magnetic fields, these results could lead to the development of new organic electronic materials exhibiting both conducting and insulating properties.
Organic electronics: It's all in the twist 07/29/2013 A small molecular bending effect helps flexible light-emitting transistors to outshine other optoelectronic technologies Organic light-emitting field-effect transistors(OLETs) are innovative devices that combine brilliant light production with fast electronic switching.
This event has attracted attentions and interests as an integrated exhibition to create many business matching opportunities for cutting-edge technologies and product developments covering various functional materials and organic electronic devices toward the markets like biotechnology, medical& health, information communication, environment, energy… etc.
It has been decreasing since then, but on the other hand, the number of presentations in the field of quantum electronics, organic molecules and bioelectronics has been increasing, instead.
