The conclusion of the Technical Agreement is anticipated to stimulate further international research collaborations, increase the numbers of exchange students coming to the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, and ensure the highly qualified human resources necessary for implementing social change.
For the Assembly Challenge of the Industrial Robotics category, the focus of this report, participants compete against each other, taking the concept"Toward agile one-off manufacturing", to both respond to the needs of the manufacturing industry utilizing their skills and technologies, and work towards the development of production systems that can be used in actual manufacturing sites, all in an effort to accelerate the social implementation of robots.
In order to conduct research on the above, the Unwired Innovation Lab seeks to develop a broadly targeted research structure that encompasses integrative network connection technologies including both wired and wireless connections, as well as information processing technology that comprehensively covers not only terminals but also services, with the aim of conducting activities to perform research, realize social implementation, and achieve global standardization for a system architecture that mixes elemental technologies including both wired and wireless communications.
