السيد لامبا(ملاوي): قال إنه يؤيد البيانين اللذين أدلى بهما ممثلا المغرب، باسم مجموعة الـ77 والصين، وبوتسوانا، باسم الجماعة الإنمائية للجنوب الأفريقي، ثم أكد أن حكومة ملاوي تضع مسألة القضاء على الفقر في صميم سياستها الوطنية الإنمائية

Mr. Lamba(Malawi): I wish to express solidarity with earlier speakers who have spoken so eloquently on the matter under discussion today-- particularly considering the great importance of the Millennium Summit and the centrality of the issues it raises on the development of the poor regions of this world, including Africa.
السيد لامبا(ملاوي)(تكلم بالانكليزية): أود أن أعرب عن تضامني مع المتكلمين السابقين الذين تكلموا ببلاغة عن الموضوع قيد المناقشة اليوم، خاصة مع مراعاة الأهمية الكبيرة لقمة الألفية ومحورية القضايا التي تثيرها بشأن تنمية المناطق الفقيرة في هذا العالم، بما في ذلك أفريقيا

Mr. Lamba(Malawi) said he fully supported the statement made by the representative of Venezuela on behalf of the Group of 77 and China; he regretted the lack of progress made towards achieving the goals of the United Nations Decade for the Eradication of Poverty and the target set by the Millennium Summit of halving by 2015 the proportion of people living in absolute poverty, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.
السيد لامبا(ملاوي): قال إنه يؤيد تماما البيان الذي أدلى به ممثل فنزويلا باسم مجموعة الـ 77 والصين، وأنه يأسف إزاء الافتقار إلى التقدم فيما يتصل ببلوغ أهداف عقد الأمم المتحدة للقضاء على الفقر، وذلك المقصد المعلن في مؤتمر قمة الألفية بشأن تخفيض نسبة من يعيشون في فقر مدقع إلى النصف بحلول عام 2015، ولا سيما بأفريقيا جنوب الصحراء الكبرى

Mr. Lamba(Malawi), having associated himself with the statements made on 4 October 2002 by the representative of Venezuela on behalf of the Group of 77 and China and on 3 October 2002 by the representative of Botswana on behalf of the Southern African Development Community(SADC), said that his Government continued to implement the outcome of the World Summit for Social Development and the Programme of Action adopted at the twenty-fourth special session of the General Assembly.
السيد لامبا(ملاوي): انضم إلى البيان الذي أدلى به ممثل فنزويلا يوم 4 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2002 نيابة عن مجموعة الـ77 والصين والبيان الذي أدلى به ممثل بوتسوانا يوم 3 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2002، نيابة عن المجتمع الإنمائي للجنوب الأفريقي، وقال إن حكومته تواصل تنفيذ نتائج مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية وبرنامج العمل الذي تم اعتماده في دورة الجمعية العامة الاستثنائية الرابعة والعشرين
