I would also like to join the rapporteur in congratulating the Commission on its initiative in establishing the European Extrajudicial Network(EEJ-NET) and the Financial Services Complaints Network FIN-NET.
The Commission has launched the FIN-NET for the extra-judicial settlement of disputes in the field of financial services.
The Commission will further develop and improve FIN-NET and will promote the development of EU wide ADR schemes, particularly on-line schemes.
The EEJ-Net is complemented by FIN-NET; the EU-wide out-of-court network dealing with cross-border complaints related to financial services set up in February 2001.
The number of systems in FIN-NET(currently 37) will be increased where possible.
