Nagar was born on 17 August 1916 in Chaurahe Wali Gali, Gokulpura, in a prominent Gujarati Family in Agra, India. He died on 23 February 1990 in Chowk, Lucknow, India. His parents were Rajaram and Vidyawati Nagar.
