You can use the Nucleus Smart App to control and monitor your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor from compatible Apple and Android devices.
When you pair your sound processor with Nucleus Smart App, you will be asked if you wish to enable Data Sync.
It is an optional feature that you can enable or disable from the Settings screen within the Nucleus Smart App at any time.
The Nucleus Smart App asks you to enable notifications to allow the app to notify you with important alerts regarding your sound processor.
Once you have downloaded and installed the Nucleus Smart App, tap‘Demo Mode' to start learning about the different functions and features.
Therefore you need the Nucleus Smart App on your Android device if you wish to use it to control your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor.
Data Sync is a feature of the Nucleus Smart App which allows data from your sound processor to be synchronised to the Cochlear Cloud.
Please note that for data to be collected, the Nucleus Smart App must be running, but not necessarily be active in the foreground.
Child Accounts can be created by parents or guardians through the services and apps which permit their use, such as the Nucleus Smart App.
This allows you to explore the Nucleus Smart App, and familiarise yourself with how it works even before you have your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor.
When you log in to the Nucleus Smart App with your CochlearTM Account, information related to your implant and sound processor is sent to Cochlear.
You can pair your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor with up to five compatible Android devices and have the Nucleus Smart App installed on all of them.
If you are unable to adjust your sound processor(s) using the Nucleus Smart App, your compatible Android device may not have been paired properly with your processor.

In Demo Mode, you can use the Nucleus Smart App without a connection to a Nucleus 7 Sound Processor for demonstration purposes or just to try it out. You can enable/disable Demo Mode under‘Settings' in the Nucleus Smart App.
If you do not already have a Cochlear Account(i.e. you do not already access other Cochlear online services with an email address and password) you can create one by selecting‘Create new account' from the Nucleus Smart App.
Creating a Cochlear Account enables you to login to and use a variety of Cochlear services and apps, such as the Nucleus Smart App, the myCochlear web portal, and our online store. Services which make use of Cochlear Accounts vary by market.
You can pair your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor with up to five compatible Apple devices and have the Nucleus Smart App installed on all of them. However, you can only connect one compatible Apple device to your sound processor(s) at a time.
