اور ہم نے داؤد اور سلیمان کو علم عطا کیا تو دونوں نے کہا کہ خدا کا شکر ہے

ہم نے داؤدؑ کو اپنے ہاں سے بڑا فضل عطا کیا تھا(ہم نے حکم دیا کہ) اے پہاڑو، اس کے ساتھ ہم آہنگی کرو(اور یہی حکم ہم نے) پرندوں کو دیا ہم نے لوہے کو اس کے لیے نرم کر دیا

اور بے شک ہم نے داؤد کو اپنی طرف سے بزرگی دی تھی اے پہاڑو ان کی تسبیح کی آواز کا جواب دیا کرو اور پرندوں کو تابع کر دیا تھا اور ہم نے ان کے لیے لوہا نرم کر دیا تھا

میں اس کی اولاد میں سے داؤد اور سلیمان اور ایوب

O Dawud! We have indeed appointed you as a Viceroy in the earth, therefore judge between mankind with the truth, and do not follow desire for it will lead you astray from Allah's path; indeed for those who stray away from Allah's path is a severe punishment, because they forgot the Day of Reckoning.”.
(ہم نے اس سے کہا)"اے داؤدؑ، ہم نے تجھے زمین میں خلیفہ بنایا ہے، لہٰذا تو لوگوں کے درمیان حق کے ساتھ حکومت کر اور خواہش نفس کی پیروی نہ کر کہ وہ تجھے اللہ کی راہ سے بھٹکا دے گی جو لوگ اللہ کی راہ سے بھٹکتے ہیں یقیناً اُن کے لیے سخت سزا ہے کہ وہ یوم الحساب کو بھول گئے

علم عطا کیا تھا اور داؤد علیھ السّلام کے ساتھ پہاڑوں کو لَسّخر کردیا تھا کہ وہ تسبیح پروردگار کریں اور طیور کو بھی لَسّخر کردیا تھا اور ہم ایسے کام کرتے رہتے ہیں

subjected the hills to proclaim the Purity along with Dawud, and(also subjected)
علم بخشا تھا۔ اور ہم نے پہاڑوں کو داؤد کا مسخر کردیا تھا

And We bestowed upon him Ishaq(Isaac) and Yaqub(Jacob); We guided all of them; and We guided Nooh before them and of his descendants, Dawud and Sulaiman and Ayyub and Yusuf and Moosa and Haroon; and this is the way We reward the virtuous.
اور ہم نے ان(ابراہیم علیہ السلام) کو اسحاق اور یعقوب(بیٹا اور پوتا علیھما السلام) عطا کئے، ہم نے(ان) سب کو ہدایت سے نوازا، اور ہم نے(ان سے) پہلے نوح(علیہ السلام) کو(بھی) ہدایت سے نوازا تھا اور ان کی اولاد میں سے داؤد اور سلیمان اور ایوب اور یوسف اور موسٰی اور ہارون(علیھم السلام کو بھی ہدایت عطا فرمائی تھی)، اور ہم اسی طرح نیکو کاروں کو جزا دیا کرتے ہیں

food when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, do not strike her on the face, do not revile her or separate yourself from her except in the house”(Abu Dawud).
اور چہرے پر نہ مار، برانہ بول اور اس سے جدانہ ہو مگر گهر ميں-")(ابو داود

Said Dawud,“He is indeed being unjust to you in that he demands to add your ewe to his ewes; and indeed most partners wrong one another, except those who believe and do good deeds- and they are very few!” Thereupon Dawud realised that We had tested him, so he sought forgiveness from his Lord, and fell prostrate and inclined(towards his Lord).(Command of Prostration 10).
داؤد نے فرمایا بیشک یہ تجھ پر زیادتی کرتا ہے کہ تیری دُنبی اپنی دُنبیوں میں ملانے کو مانگتا ہے، اور بیشک اکثر ساجھے والے ایک دوسرے پر زیادتی کرتے ہیں مگر جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے اور وہ بہت تھوڑے ہیں اب داؤد سمجھا کہ ہم نے یہ اس کی جانچ کی تھی تو اپنے رب سے معافی مانگی اور سجدے میں گر پڑا اور رجوع لایا،(السجدة ۱۰

The Prophet Dawud.
حالانکہ رسالۃ أبي داود

In his soliloquy, Dawud says,"O Allah!
داؤد رضی اللہ عنہ دعا فرمایا کرتے تھے: اے اللہ!

He who imitates certain people is one of them[Tirmidhi, Abu dawud].
جس نے کسی قوم کی مشابہت اختیار کی وہ انھیں میں سے ہے۔(ابو داؤد

He established authority for Dawud(peace be on him) and said,“O David!
حضرت داؤدؑ کو خلافت بخشی گئی:''اے داؤد!

He who imitates any people(in their actions) is considered to be one of them”(Abu Dawud).
جو شخص کسی قوم کے ساتھ مشابہت اختیار کرے وہ انہی میں سے ہے۔(ابودائود)
