اے میرے فرزند! تو نماز قائم رکھ اور نیکی کا حکم دے اور برائی سے منع کر اور جو تکلیف تجھے پہنچے اس پر صبر کر، بیشک یہ بڑی ہمت کے کام ہیں

O you who believe! fight such of the disbelievers as dwell near to you and let them find firmness in you and know that Allâh is with those who become secure against evil.
اے ایمان والوں جہاد کرو ان کافروں سے جو تمہارے قریب ہیں اور چاہئے کہ وہ تم میں سختی پائیں اور جان رکھو کہ اللّٰہ پرہیزگاروں کے ساتھ ہے

it might bring firmness to those who believe, and guidance to the Right Way,
مومنوں کو ثابت قدم رکھے اور حکم ماننے والوں کے لئے تو(یہ)

God will give firmness to those who believe in the firmly rooted word,
اللہ ایمان والوں کو قولِ ثابت پر ثابت قدم رکھتا ہے دنیا کی زندگی میں بھی

And We wrote for him on the Tablets the lesson to be drawn from all things and the explanation of all things(and said): Hold unto these with firmness, and enjoin your people to take the better therein. I shall show you the home of Al-Fasiqun(the rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
اور ہم نے ان کے لئے(تورات کی) تختیوں میں ہر ایک چیز کی نصیحت اور ہر ایک چیز کی تفصیل لکھ دی(ہے)، تم اسے مضبوطی سے تھامے رکھو اور اپنی قوم کو(بھی) حکم دو کہ وہ اس کی بہترین باتوں کو اختیار کرلیں۔ میں عنقریب تمہیں نافرمانوں کا مقام دکھاؤں گا

Remember thy Lord inspired the angels(with the message):"I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers:
اور وہ وقت بھی(یاد رکھنے کے قابل ہے) جب تمہارا پروردگار فرشتوں کو وحی کر رہا تھا کہ میں تمہارے ساتھ ہوں۔ تم اہلِ ایمان کو ثابت قدم رکھو۔ میں عنقریب کافروں کے دلوں میں(مؤمنوں کا)

And We ordained for him in the tablets admonition of every kind and clear explanation of all things; so take hold of them with firmness and enjoin your people to take hold of what is best thereof; I will show you the abode of the transgressors.
اور ہم نے ان کے لئے(تورات کی) تختیوں میں ہر ایک چیز کی نصیحت اور ہر ایک چیز کی تفصیل لکھ دی(ہے)، تم اسے مضبوطی سے تھامے رکھو اور اپنی قوم کو(بھی) حکم دو کہ وہ اس کی بہترین باتوں کو اختیار کرلیں۔ میں عنقریب تمہیں نافرمانوں کا مقام دکھاؤں گا

With him are firmness and understanding.
بیشک اور سمجھانا و بجھانا بھی ساتھ ساتھ ہے

And whosoever forbeareth and forgiveth-that verily is of the firmness of affairs.
البتہ جوشخص صبر کرے اور درگزر کرے تو یہ بڑے ہمت کے کاموں میں سے ہے

Then be patient, as the messengers had patience and firmness, and do not try to hasten their doom.
