Musa said: hadst thou willed, thou mightest have taken therefor a hire.
کہنے لگے اگر آپ چاہتے تو اس پر اجرت لے لیتے

they begged food from the people thereof, but they refused to entertain the twain. Then they found therein a wall, about to fall down, and he set it upright. Musa said: hadst thou willed, thou mightest have taken therefor a hire.
انہوں نے ان دونوں کی ضیافت سے انکار کر دیا وہاں انہوں نے ایک دیوار دیکھی جوگرا چاہتی تھی اُس شخص نے اس دیوار کو پھر قائم کر دیا موسیٰؑ نے کہا" اگر آپ چاہتے تو اس کام کی اُجرت لے سکتے تھے

so he set it up. He said,'If thou hadst wished, thou couldst have taken a wage for that.'.
گر پڑتی- بندہ صالح نے اسے سیدھا کردیا تو موسٰی نے کہا کہ آپ چاہتے تو اس کی اجرت لے سکتے تھے

If thou hadst observed them closely thou hadst assuredly turned away from them in flight, and hadst been filled with awe of them.
تم ان کی کیفیت پر مطلع ہوجاتے تو اُلٹے پاؤں بھاگ نکلتے اورتمہارے دل میں دہشت سما جاتی

And thou wouldst have deemed them waking though they were asleep, and We caused them to turn over to the right and the left, and their dog stretching out his paws on the threshold. If thou hadst observed them closely thou hadst assuredly turned away from them in flight, and hadst been filled with awe of them.
آپ خیال کرتے کہ وه بیدار ہیں، حاﻻنکہ وه سوئے ہوئے تھے، خود ہم ہی انہیں دائیں بائیں کروٹیں دﻻیا کرتے تھے، ان کا کتا بھی چوکھٹ پر اپنے ہاتھ پھیلائے ہوئے تھا۔ اگر آپ جھانک کر انہیں دیکھنا چاہتے تو ضرور الٹے پاؤں بھاگ کھڑے ہوتے اور ان کے رعب سے آپ پر دہشت چھا جاتی

پیغمبر یہ اللہ کی مہربانی ہے کہ تم ان لوگوں کے لئے نرم ہو ورنہ اگر تم بدمزاج اور سخت دل ہوتے

It was by some mercy of God that thou wast gentle to them; hadst thou been harsh and hard of heart, they would have scattered from about thee. So pardon them, and pray forgiveness for them, and take counsel with them in the affair; and when thou art resolved, put thy trust in God; surely God loves those who put their trust.
تو کیسی کچھ اللہ کی مہربانی ہے کہ اے محبوب! تم ان کے لئے نرم دل ہوئے اور اگر تند مزاج سخت دل ہوتے تو وہ ضرور تمہارے گرد سے پریشان ہوجاتے تو تم انہیں معاف فرماؤ او ر ان کی شفاعت کرو اور کاموں میں ان سے مشورہ لو اور جو کسی بات کا ارادہ پکا کرلو تو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرو بیشک توکل والے اللہ کو پیارے ہیں

Thou wouldst have thought them awake, as they lay sleeping, while We turned them now to the right, now to the left,' and their dog'stretching its paws on the threshold. Hadst thou observed them surely thou wouldst have turned thy back on them in flight, and been filled with terror of them.
اور(اے سننے والے!) تو انہیں(دیکھے تو) بیدار خیال کرے گا حالانکہ وہ سوئے ہوئے ہیں اور ہم(وقفوں کے ساتھ) انہیں دائیں جانب اور بائیں جانب کروٹیں بدلاتے رہتے ہیں، اور ان کا کتا(ان کی) چوکھٹ پر اپنے دونوں بازو پھیلائے(بیٹھا) ہے، اگر تو انہیں جھانک کر دیکھ لیتا تو ان سے پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگ جاتا اور تیرے دل میں ان کی دہشت بھر جاتی

نے کہا اگر آپ چاہتے تو اس کام کی(ان لوگوں سے) کچھ اجرت ہی لے لیتے

نے کہا: اگر آپ چاہتے تو اس(تعمیر) پر مزدوری لے لیتے

تو نے تو ترکِ محبت کی قسم کھائی تھی

اگر تجھے کچھ ہُوا نہیں ہے

سب کچھ والے، سب کچھ تو تجھ سے تھا

To the place which Thou hadst established for them.
تم کو جنت کی بشارت ہو جس کا وعدہ تھا

Saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been.
اے خدایا بخش ان کی کچھ اگر تقصیر ہے

Thou shouldst not have been old till thou hadst.
کل تک تو جن کو پیر کی جوتی نہ تھی نصیب

O thou barren one who hadst not borne until now…".
اے دردِ محبت کچھ تُو ہی بتا، اب تک یہ معمہ حل نہ ہو
