Examples of using Salat in English and their translations into Urdu

Abu Bakr said,“By Allah, I will fight him who discriminates between Zakat and Salat(prayers), for Zakat is the compulsory right to be taken from the wealth!
اس پر ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ نے جواب دیا کہ' قسم اللہ کی میں ہر اس شخص سے جنگ کروں گا جو زکوٰۃ اور نماز میں تفریق کرے گا۔(یعنی نماز تو پڑھے مگر زکوٰۃ کے لیے انکار کر دے) کیونکہ زکوٰۃ مال کا حق ہے۔ اللہ کی قسم!

اس پر ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ نے جواب دیا کہ' قسم اللہ کی میں ہر اس شخص سے جنگ کروں گا جو زکوٰۃ اور نماز میں تفریق کرے گا۔(یعنی نماز تو پڑھے مگر زکوٰۃ کے لیے انکار کر دے) کیونکہ زکوٰۃ مال کا حق ہے۔ اللہ کی قسم!

when you are in safety, offer the Salat(prayer) in the manner He has taught you,
سوار ہی سہی، ہاں جب امن ہوجائے تو اللہ کا ذکر کرو جس طرح

Allah's Messenger said:"Whoever performs Salat for Allah for forty days in congregation, catching the first Takbir, two absolutions are written for him: absolution from the Fire, and absolution from the Fire, and absolution from hypocrisy.".
رسول اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم نے فرمایا:''جو شخص مسلسل چالیس روز تک تکبیر اُولیٰ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھتا رہا تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے لئے دو آزادیاں لکھ دیتا ہے، ایک جہنم سے آزادی اور دوسری منافقت سے آزادی‘‘۔(ترغیب و ترھیب)

Then he asked"Shall I not tell you about the doors of good: fast is a shield(against sins and against Hell-fire), charity extinguishes sins like water extinguishes fire; and the midnight Salat(the voluntary Tahajjud Salat).".
پھر آپ(ﷺ) نے فرمایا: کیا میں تجھے خیر کے دروازے نہ بتادوں؟ روزہ ڈھال ہے، گناہوں کو صدقہ اس طرح ختم کردیتا ہے جس طرح پانی آگ کو بجھا دیتا ہے، اورآدمی کا آدھی رات کو( نفل)نماز پڑھنا

(O Prophet,) recite this Book which has been revealed to you, and establish the Salat.77 Surely the Salat restrains from indecent and evil acts, 78 and the remembrance of Allah is a thing even greater79 than this; Allah knows whatever you do.
(اے نبی ؐ)تلاوت کرو اس کتاب کی جو تمہاری طرف وحی کی ذریعے سے بھیجی گئی ہے۔ اور نماز قائم کرو،77 یقیناً نماز فحش اور بُرے کاموں سے روکتی ہے78 اور اللہ کا ذکر اس سے بھی زیادہ بڑی چیز ہے۔79 اللہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ تم لوگ کرتے ہو

If you establish salat and pay zakat,
اگر تم نماز قائم رکھی

to your relatives, to the orphans and to the helpless; speak aright with the people: establish the Salat and pay the Zakat. But with the exception of a few,
مسکینوں کے ساتھ نیک سلوک کرنا، لوگوں سے بھلی بات کہنا، نماز قائم کرنا

solemn covenant with the children of Israel to this effect: worship none save Allah: be good to your parents, to your relatives, to the orphans and to the helpless; speak aright with the people: establish the Salat and pay the Zakat. But with the exception of a few, you all slid back from it and are paying no heed to it even now.
نیک سلوک کرنا اور سب سے اچھی بات کہنا، نماز قائم کرنا اور زکوٰۃ ادا کرنا۔ مگر تم میں سے تھوڑے آدمیوں کے سوا باقی سب اس(عہد) سے پھر گئے۔ اور تم ہو ہی روگردانی کرنے والے

speak aright with the people: establish the Salat and pay the Zakat.
لوگوں کو اچھی باتیں کہنا، نمازیں قائم رکھنا

میری یاد کی خاطر نماز قائم

Have taqwa of Him and establish salat.
اور یہ کہ کھڑی(قائم) رکھو نماز اور اس سے ڈرتے رہو

Each one knows its salat and its glorification.
ہر ایک(اللہ کے حضور) اپنی نماز اور اپنی تسبیح کو جانتا ہے۔‘

Benefit: This salat is good for the pardoning of sins.
فضیلت: یہ نماز مغفرت گناہ کے لیے بہت افضل ہے

I asked the Messenger of Allah about looking around during the Salat.
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے نماز میں ادھر ادھر دیکھنے کے بارے میں پوچھا

According to Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) Salat is the essence of prayers.
نماز کے دوران بھی پیغمبر اکرمؐ کو سلام کرنا جائز ہے،[41
