Approved and adopted in São Paulo, on April 9, 2001, by the organizations that make up the World Social Forum Organizing Committee, approved with modifications by the World Social Forum International Council on June 10, 2001.
As the Assembly of Social Movements of the World Social Forumof Tunisia, 2013, we are gathered here to affirm the fundamental contribution of peoples of Maghreb-Mashrek(from North Africa to the Middle East), in the construction of human civilization.
February 2010-- According to Eric Toussaint, a doctor in political science and one of the ideologists of the World Social Forum, now in its tenth edition, effective political action calls for the creation of a permanent national front of parties, social movements and international networks.
Ahead of the World Social Forum(WSF) in Tunis, on Saturday March 23 and Sunday March 24, 2013 the first Mediterranean meeting against the debt, austerity policies and foreign domination, and for a Mediterranean which is free, democratic, social, solidarity based, feminist and respectful of the environment, was held.
In the continuity of the world Social Forum process, and the ongoing work of building alliances between our social movements, of which the Brussels' meeting in October 2006 is an important step, the social movements, here present in Belem, call to participate actively to the global days of action, which will culminate on 26th of January 2008.
