And if ye are in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto Our slave(Muhammad), then produce a surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful.

もしあなたがたが，わがしもべ（ムハンマド）に下した啓示を疑うならば，それに類する1章〔スーラ〕でも作ってみなさい。もしあなたがたが正しければ，アッラー以外のあなたがたの証人を呼んでみなさい。
And if ye be in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto Our bondsman, then bring a chapter like thereunto, and call your witnesses as against Allah, if ye say sooth.

もしあなたがたがそれを（放棄）しないならば，アッラーとその使徒から，戦いが宣告されよう。だがあなたがたが悔い改めるならば，あなたがたの元金は収得出来る。（人びとを）不当に扱わなければ，あなたがたも不当に扱われない。
But if ye will do it not, then be apprised of war from Allah and His apostle. And if ye repent, then yours shall be your capital sums; ye shall neither wrong nor be wronged.

もしあなたがたが，わがしもべ（ムハンマド）に下した啓示を疑うならば，それに類する1章〔スーラ〕でも作ってみなさい。もしあなたがたが正しければ，アッラー以外のあなたがたの証人を呼んでみなさい。
And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers(If there are any) besides Allah, if your(doubts) are true.

かれらの1人の者が言った。「ユースフを殺害してはならない，もしあなたがたがどうしてもそうしたいなら，寧ろかれを井戸の底に投げ込めば，恐らく何処かの隊商に拾い上げられることもあろう。」。
Said one of them:"Slay not Joseph, but if ye must do something, throw him down to the bottom of the well: he will be picked up by some caravan of travellers.

かれはあなたがたの様々な罪を赦し，定められた期限まで，あなたがたを猶予なされます。本当にアッラーの期限が来た時は，猶予されません。もしあなたがたが分っていたならば。」。
That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew.

もしあなたがたが，両人の破局を恐れるならば，男の一族から一人の調停者を，また女の一族からも一人の調停者をあげなさい。両人がもし和解を望むならば，アッラーは両人の間を融和されよう。本当にアッラーは，全知にして何ごとにも通暁しておられる。
And if ye fear a breach between them twain(the man and wife), appoint an arbiter from his folk and an arbiter from her folk. If they desire amendment Allah will make them of one mind. Lo! Allah is ever Knower, Aware.

もしあなたがたが，両人の破局を恐れるならば，男の一族から一人の調停者を，また女の一族からも一人の調停者をあげなさい。両人がもし和解を望むならば，アッラーは両人の間を融和されよう。本当にアッラーは，全知にして何ごとにも通暁しておられる。
And if ye fear a divergence between the twain, set up an arbiter from his household and an arbiter from her household; then if the twain desire rectification Allah shall bring harmony between the twain; verily Allah is ever Knowing, Aware.

戦争で得たどんな物も，5分の1は，アッラーと使徒そして近親，孤児，貧者，そして旅人に属することを知れ。もしあなたがたがアッラーを信じ，また識別の日，両軍が会戦した日に，わがしもベに啓示したものを信じるならば。本当にアッラーは凡てのことに全能であられる。
And know that whatsoever ye obtain of spoils then verily unto Allah belongeth a fifth thereof and unto the apostle and unto his kindreds and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer if ye indeed have believed in Allah and that which We sent down on our bondmans on the day of distinction, the day whereon the two hosts met. And Allah is over everything Potent.

もし女が，その夫から虐待され，忌避される心配があるとき，両人の間を，和解させるのは罪ではない。和解は最もよいことである。だが人間の魂は，貪欲になりがちである。もしあなたがたが善行をし，主を畏れるならば，誠にアッラーは，あなたがたの行うことを熟知なされる。
If a wife fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part, there is no blame on them if they arrange an amicable settlement between themselves; and such settlement is best; even though men's souls are swayed by greed. But if ye do good and practise self-restraint, Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

And know that whatever ye take as spoils of war, lo! a fifth thereof is for Allah, and for the messenger and for the kinsman(who hath need) and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, if ye believe in Allah and that which We revealed unto Our slave on the Day of Discrimination, the day when the two armies met. And Allah is Able to do all things.

不信者よ）もしあなたがたが決定を求めたのならば，その決定はもう来たのである。あなたがたが（不義な事を）止めるなら，それはあなたがたのために最もよい。もしあなたがたが（攻撃を）繰り返すなら，わたしたちも繰り返すであろう。あなたがたの軍勢が仮令多くても，あなたがたにとっては無益であろう。本当にアッラーは，信者たちと共においでになられる。
O Unbelievers! if ye prayed for victory and judgment, now hath the judgment come to you: if ye desist(from wrong), it will be best for you: if ye return(to the attack), so shall We. Not the least good will your forces be to you even if they were multiplied: for verily Allah is with those who believe!

And know that out of all the booty that ye may acquire(in war), a fifth share is assigned to Allah,- and to the Messenger, and to near relatives, orphans, the needy, and the wayfarer,- if ye do believe in Allah and in the revelation We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Testing,- the Day of the meeting of the two forces. For Allah hath power over all things.
