Allah hath gotten ready for them a grievous torment; so fear Allah, O men of understanding! those who have believed. Surely He hath sent down Unto you an admonition.だがかれらはかれを嘘付きであるとした。それであの陰惨な日の懲罰がかれらを襲った。それは本当に厳しい懲罰の日であった。
But they cried him lies; then there seized them 圧政判事をはじめとする背教者共は、十字軍に奉仕して一神教徒のムジャーヒドゥーンに対して下された不信仰判決が、厳しい懲罰無しには済まされないことを思い知れ。

He answers[the supplications of] those who have faith and do righteous deeds and enhances もしあなたがたに対するアッラーの恩恵と，現世と来世でかれの慈悲がなかったならば，この事件に就いて（不謹慎に）話したことに対し，厳しい懲罰に処せられたところであった。
Were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, in this world and the Hereafter, a grievous penalty would have seized you in that ye rushed glibly into this affair.われはそれによってかれらを試みよう。だが主を念うことから逸れる者は，厳しい懲罰に追いたてられることになる。
That We might try them by that(means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty.ダーウードよ，われはあなたを地上の代理者にした。だから人びとを，真理によって裁き，私欲に従って，アッラーの道を踏みはずしてはならない。アッラーの道から迷う者は清算の日を忘れた者で，必ず厳しい懲罰にあう。」。
We said,"David, We have given you mastery over the land. Judge fairly between people. Do not follow your desires, lest they divert you from God's path: those who wander from His path will have a severe punishment, because they ignore the Day of Reckoning.誰でも栄誉権勢を願うならば，一切の栄誉権勢は，アッラーの御許にある（ことを知れ）。（一切の）善い言葉は，かれの許に登って行き，正しい行いはそれを高める。また悪事を企らむ者には，厳しい懲罰があり，それらの企らみは，無効になるであろう。
He who seeks glory, let him know that all glory belongs to Allah alone. To Him do good words go up, and righteous action uplifts them. But those who contrive evil deeds, a severe punishment lies in store for them, and their contriving will come to naught.ダーウードよ，われはあなたを地上の代理者にした。だから人びとを，真理によって裁き，私欲に従って，アッラーの道を踏みはずしてはならない。アッラーの道から迷う者は清算の日を忘れた者で，必ず厳しい懲罰にあう。」。
O Da-ud! verily We have appointed thee a vicegerent in the earth, so judge between mankind with truth, and follow not desire, lest it cause thee to err from the path of Allah. Verily those who err from the path of Allah- Unto them shall be a severe torment, for they forgat the Day of Reckoning.誰でも栄誉権勢を願うならば，一切の栄誉権勢は，アッラーの御許にある（ことを知れ）。（一切の）善い言葉は，かれの許に登って行き，正しい行いはそれを高める。また悪事を企らむ者には，厳しい懲罰があり，それらの企らみは，無効になるであろう。
Whoever seeks honour[should know that] honour entirely belongs to Allah. To Him ascends the good word, and He elevates righteous conduct; as for those who devise evil schemes, there is a severe punishment for them, and their plotting shall come to naught.ダーウードよ，われはあなたを地上の代理者にした。だから人びとを，真理によって裁き，私欲に従って，アッラーの道を踏みはずしてはならない。アッラーの道から迷う者は清算の日を忘れた者で，必ず厳しい懲罰にあう。」。
O Dawud(David)! Verily! We have placed you as a successor on earth, so judge you between men in truth(and justice) and follow not your desire for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah. Verily! Those who wander astray from the Path of Allah(shall) have a severe torment, because they forgot the Day of Reckoning.ダーウードよ，われはあなたを地上の代理者にした。だから人びとを，真理によって裁き，私欲に従って，アッラーの道を踏みはずしてはならない。アッラーの道から迷う者は清算の日を忘れた者で，必ず厳しい懲罰にあう。」。
O David! Indeed, We have made you a vicegerent on the earth. So judge between people with justice, and do not follow your desires, or they will lead you astray from the way of Allah. Indeed there is a severe punishment for those who stray from the way of Allah, because of their forgetting the Day of Reckoning.誰でも栄誉権勢を願うならば，一切の栄誉権勢は，アッラーの御許にある（ことを知れ）。（一切の）善い言葉は，かれの許に登って行き，正しい行いはそれを高める。また悪事を企らむ者には，厳しい懲罰があり，それらの企らみは，無効になるであろう。
Whoever desires honor, then to Allah belongs the honor wholly. To Him do ascend the good words; and the good deeds, lift them up, and(as for) those who plan evil deeds, they shall have a severe chastisement; and(as for) their plan, it shall perish.誰でも栄誉権勢を願うならば，一切の栄誉権勢は，アッラーの御許にある（ことを知れ）。（一切の）善い言葉は，かれの許に登って行き，正しい行いはそれを高める。また悪事を企らむ者には，厳しい懲罰があり，それらの企らみは，無効になるであろう。
Whoever desires honor[through power]- then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those- it will perish.ダーウードよ，われはあなたを地上の代理者にした。だから人びとを，真理によって裁き，私欲に従って，アッラーの道を踏みはずしてはならない。アッラーの道から迷う者は清算の日を忘れた者で，必ず厳しい懲罰にあう。」。
We said,"O David, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth, so judge between the people in truth and do not follow[your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah." Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account.ダーウードよ，われはあなたを地上の代理者にした。だから人びとを，真理によって裁き，私欲に従って，アッラーの道を踏みはずしてはならない。アッラーの道から迷う者は清算の日を忘れた者で，必ず厳しい懲罰にあう。」。
O Dawood! surely We have made you a ruler in the land; so judge between men with justice and do not follow desire, lest it should lead you astray from the path of Allah;(as for) those who go astray from the path of Allah, they shall surely have a severe punishment because they forgot the day of reckoning.
