Through their involvement in the demonstration project, MHI, Hitachi and MC will create a new business model leveraging their superior energy-saving and low-carbon technologies, and promote their smart city business model as a global standard.
Accordingly, the company and Nippon Magnetic Dressing have been working together on research and development into the recycling of lithium ion batteries with regard to the discharge, dismantling, heat degradation and transportation of used lithium ion batteries through the demonstration projects of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of the Environment.

Demonstration Project for an Energy-Saving Data Center in Laos This project aims to introduce a high-quality, highly efficient container-based data center in Laos, where there is currently no existing full-scale data centers. The project also involves the development of services that cater to the local environment as well as the verification of the amount of CO2 emissions reduced by the data center.
In addition, Mitsui Fudosan will participate in the"Yokohama Smart City Project," a demonstration project for next-generation energy and social systems selected by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(METI). As part of this project, Mitsui Fudosan plans to implement a demonstration project concerning"demand response" control of electricity supply and demand in an office building- the first project of its kind in Japan.
