The results of the study were published inthe November 16th issue of Science, entitled“Small-molecule inhibitor of OGG1 suppresses proinflammatory gene expression and inflammation”.
These findings, published in eLife, provide the first evidence in live animals that antimicrobial peptides(AMPs), which help protect against infection, also defend against cancer.
These findings, published online in the Journal of Autoimmunity, may lead to the development of new therapies to address a variety of chronic autoimmune disorders.
