The UNCTAD Advance Cargo Information System(ACIS) started in 1988 and is operational or being installed in 14 countries of which five(Burkina Faso, Malawi, Mali, Uganda and Zambia) are landlocked.
As a result, COMESA convened a Stakeholders ' Consultative Forum at its headquarters in Lusaka from 14 to 17 October 2002, inviting current and future beneficiaries of ACIS.
