The earlier code contained regulations that discriminated against women in terms of labour, in that it provided for a sex-based division of labour according to the old Principle VII, which read:“women may not engage in work that is not appropriate to their sex.” The present code categorically establishes men and women as equals in the arena of labour.
ويتضمن القانون السابق قواعد تمييزية ضد المرأة من حيث العمل نظرا ﻷن أحكامه تضع تقسيما جنسيا للعمل وفقا للمبدأ السابع القديم الذي ينص على أنه:" ﻻ يجوز للمرأة أن تضطلع بأعمال ﻻ تﻻئم جنسها". أما القانون الحالي فيرسي، بصورة قاطعة، أسس المساواة بين الرجل والمرأة في مجال العمل

The purpose of the present code is to identify the rights and responsibilities of States in information space, promote their constructive and responsible behaviours and enhance their cooperation in addressing the common threats and challenges in information space, so as to ensure that information and communications technologies, including networks, are to be solely used to benefit social and economic development and people ' s well-being, with the objective of maintaining international stability and security.
الغرض من هذه المدونة هو تحديد حقوق الدول ومسؤولياتها في فضاء المعلومات، وتشجيع السلوك البنَّاء والمسؤول لديها، وتعزيز تعاونها في التصدي للتهديدات والتحديات المشتركة في فضاء المعلومات، لكفالة قصر استخدام تكنولوجيات المعلومات والاتصالات، بما فيها الشبكات، لصالح تحقيق التنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية ورفاه الناس بهدف صون الاستقرار والأمن الدوليين

(1) If due to acts referred to in Articles 327, paragraphs 1 to 3, 328, paragraphs 1 and 2, 329, paragraphs 1 and 2, 330, paragraph 1, and Article 333 of the present Code a heavy bodily injury is inflicted upon a person or large scale property damage is done, the perpetrator shall be punished by an imprisonment sentence of one to eight years.
(1) إذا نجم عن الأفعال المشار إليها في الفقرات 1 إلى 3 من المادة 327 والفقرتين 1 و 2 من المادة 328 والفقرتين 1 و 2 من المادة 329، والفقرة 1 من المادة 330 والمادة 333 من هذا القانون إلحاق إصابة بدنية جسيمة بشخص أو ضرر بالغ بالممتلكات، يُعاقب الجاني بالسجن لمدة تتراوح بين سنة وثماني سنوات

ongoing damage of a very grave nature to victims that cannot be addressed in a timely manner by the procedure under article 9 of the present Code.

(1) If there are grounds for suspicion or a reasonable suspicion that a criminal offence of organized crime has been committed, the Court may order a measure of temporary confiscation of objects and property gain regardless of the conditions set forth in the provisions of Articles 81 to 87 and Articles 538 to 545 of the present Code.

A marriage contract may also be declared by the courts to be fully or partly invalid upon complaint by either spouse of a violation of the requirements of article 45, paragraph 4, of the present Code; if the terms of the marriage contract place one of the spouses in an extremely adverse position; or upon complaint by a creditor of a violation of the requirements set out in article 48 of the present Code.
يمكن للمحكمة أن تعلن بطلان عقد الزواج كلياً أو جزئياً، بسبب انتهاك شروط الفقرة 4 من المادة 45 من هذا القانون بناء على دعوى من الزوجين(أو أحدهما)، إذا كان عقد الزواج قد وضع الزوج المعني في وضع سيئ للغاية، وكذلك بناء على دعوى من الدائنين في حال انتهاك شروط المادة 48 من هذا القانون

The present code of practice shall be applied to information received by the Committee under Article 8 of the Convention in the work of the meetings of the Committee, in the intersessional period and to the work of any working group established under paragraph 29 of the annex to decision SC-1/7, and to the use of conclusions based on and reference to confidential information in recommendations and reports of the Committee.

In the same vein, article 13 sets out the rights to which children and adolescents belonging to indigenous peoples and other ethnic groups are entitled:" Children and adolescents of indigenous peoples and other ethnic groups shall enjoy the rights enshrined in the Political Constitution, international human rights instruments and the present Code, without prejudice to the principles governing their cultures and forms of social organization".
وبالمثل، تنص المادة 13 على ضمان الحقوق الخاصة بالأطفال والمراهقين، ذكورا وإناثا، من الشعوب الأصلية وغيرها من الطوائف العرقية، بالصيغة التالية:" يتمتع الأطفال والمراهقون، ذكورا وإناثا، من الشعوب الأصلية وغيرها من الطوائف العرقية، بالحقوق المنصوص عليها في الدستور السياسي والصكوك الدولية لحقوق الإنسان وفي هذا القانون، دون الإخلال بالمبادئ التي تنظم ثقافاتها وتنظيمها الاجتماعي

As to the criticism heard by the Special Rapporteur about the fact that article 260 of the Code of Criminal Procedure provides for“arrest on suspicion”, and his recommendation that it should be amended(paras. 34- 38), the Government reported that in July 1996 the Chamber of Deputies' Constitutional, Legislative and Judicial Committee issued a report advocating the deletion of that provision from the present Code and its replacement by the one contained in the draft of the new Code of Criminal Procedure.
أما بخصوص اﻻنتقاد الذي استمع اليه المقرر الخاص بشأن كون المادة ٠٦٢ من قانون اﻻجراءات الجنائية تتناول" القبض على الشخص لﻻشتباه فيه"، وتوصيته بوجوب تعديلها الفقرات ٤٣- ٨٣، فقد أبلغت الحكومة أنه في تموز/يوليه ٦٩٩١ قامت اللجنة الدستورية والتشريعية والقضائية التابعة لمجلس النواب بإصدار تقرير يطالب بحذف ذلك النص من القانون الحالي ليحل محله النص الوارد في مشروع قانون اﻻجراءات الجنائية الجديد

The provisions of the present Code shall also apply to the following persons.
تسري أحكام هذا القانون أيضا على الأشخاص الآتي ذكرهم

The felony of counterfeiting money, as provided in article 261 of the present Code;
جناية تزييف النقود المنصوص عليها في المادة(261) من هذا القانون

as provided in article 427 of the present Code.

The provisions of the present Code apply to all offences committed in the State of Bahrain.

(a) Minors within the meaning of articles 399 to 422 of the present Code;
