To ensure the implementation of the Tunza programme and meet the need to engage young people in all corners of the world, the number of staff for the Children & Youth Unit in the UNP Division of Communication and Public Information has been slightly increased. UNEP has negotiated substantial funding for the Tunza programme from the German-based chemical and healthcare company, Bayer AG, which provides one million euros annually to support the programme.
