Significant progress was realized, with 803 mines(including 702 anti-personnel mines and 101 anti-tank mines) cleared, 18,246 items of unexploded ordnance destroyed and 100,648 items of small arms ammunitions disposed of. .
Meanwhile, UNMEE demining assets continued their work throughout the Mission area, destroying 314 mines and 356 items of unexploded ordnance, and clearing more than 686,940 m2 of land and 544 km of road.
During the period under review, the Force demining assets, together with the commercial contractors for route clearance and integrated demining operations, destroyed eight mines and 704 items of unexploded ordnance.
