The MSAR has signed agreements on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons with Portugal(7 Dec. 1999) and the Hong Kong SAR(25 May 2005).
Equal access to, and participation in public life, and in particular the access to, and the exercise of, public office and positions within the MSAR political system and Public Administration, is guaranteed.
The right to a name, which includes the right to personal identity and personality, is enshrined in MSAR' s civil law(article 82(1) of the Civil Code).
The drafting of legislation is under the MSAR Secretary for Administration and Justice and, under its supervision, there are several entities involved, in particular, the Office of the Secretary and the Legal Affairs Department.
