اور(یاد کرو) جب ہم نے تم سے پیمان لیا او ر کوہ ِ طور کو تمہارے سروں پر بلند کیا، لو جو ہم تمہیں دیتے ہیں زور سے اور سنو بولے ہم نے سنا اور نہ مانا اور ان کے دلوں میں بچھڑا رچ رہا تھا ان کے کفر کے سبب تم فرمادو کیا برا حکم دیتا ہے تم کو تمہارا ایمان اگر ایمان رکھتے ہو

And when We took compact with the Children of Israel:'You shall not serve any save God; and to be good to parents, and the near kinsman, and to orphans, and to the needy;
یاد کرو، اسرائیل کی اولاد سے ہم نے پختہ عہد لیا تھا کہ اللہ کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہ کرنا، ماں باپ کے ساتھ، رشتے داروں کے ساتھ، یتیموں

And when God took compact with the Prophets:'That I have given you of Book and Wisdom; then there shall come to you a Messenger confirming what is with you-- you shall believe in him and you shall help him; do you agree?' He said.'And do you take My load on you on that condition?' They said,'We do agree.' God said,'Bear witness so, and I shall be with you among the witnesses.'.
جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے نبیوں سے عہد لیا کہ جو کچھ میں تمہیں کتاب وحکمت دوں پھر تمہارے پاس وه رسول آئے جو تمہارے پاس کی چیز کو سچ بتائے تو تمہارے لئے اس پر ایمان ﻻنا اور اس کی مدد کرنا ضروری ہے۔ فرمایا کہ تم اس کے اقراری ہو اور اس پر میرا ذمہ لے رہے ہو؟ سب نے کہا کہ ہمیں اقرار ہے، فرمایا تو اب گواه رہو اور خود میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ گواہوں میں ہوں

And We raised above them the Mount, taking compact with them; and We said to them,'Enter in at the gate, prostrating'; and We said to them,'Transgress not the Sabbath';
اور اِن لوگوں پر طور کو اٹھا کر اِن سے(اُس فرمان کی اطاعت کا) عہد لیا ہم نے اِن کو حکم دیا

تم اللہ پر ایمان نہیں لاتے؟ جب کہ رسول تمہیں تمہارے رب پر ایمان لانے کی دعوت دے رہا ہے اور وہ تم سے مضبوط عہد لے چکا ہے اگر تم ماننے والے ہو۔?
