You have seen many of them establishing friendship with the unbelievers. Vile is what their souls have gained! They have invoked the wrath あなたがもしかれらに，「天地を創造されたのは誰か。」と問えば，かれらはきっと「アッラー。」と言うであろう。言ってやるがいい。「アッラーを讃えます。」だがかれらの多くは理解しないのである。
If you ask them,"Who has created the heavens and the earth," they will certainly say,"God has created them." Say,"It is only God who deserves all praise, but most of them do not know.見なさい，かれらの多くは，不信心な者と親密にしている。何と醜悪なことを自ら進んでするものよ。アッラーはかれらに激怒なされ，かれらは懲罰の中に永遠に住むであろう。
You see many of them fraternizing with the faithless. Surely evil is what they have sent ahead for their souls, as Allah is displeased with かれらは言う。「何故かれに，主から印が下されないのであろうか。」言ってやるがいい。「アッラーは，確かに印を下す御力を持っておられる。だがかれらの多くは，理解しないのである。」。
They ask,"Why has no sign been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say,"God alone has the power to send down a sign." But most of them do not understand.かれらがもし，アッラーと聖預言者を信じ，またかれらに下されたものを信じたならば，かれらを親しい友としなかったであろう。だがかれらの多くは，主の掟に背く者である。
Had they believed in God and the Prophet and what was revealed to him, they would not have taken those who deny the truth as their allies, but many of them are disobedient.こうしてわれは，かれをその母に返してやった。かの女の目は生気を取り戻し悲しみも消え失せた。かの女はアッラーの約束が，真実であることを納得した。だがかれらの多くは（このことが）分らなかった。
Thus We restored him to his mother, so that she might be comforted and not grieve any more, and so that she would know that God's promise was true. But most of them do not realize this.もしあなたが，かれらに「誰が天から雨を降らせ，それで，死んでいる大地を甦らせるのか。」と，問うならば，かれらはきっと「アッラー。」と言うであろう。言え，「アッラーを讃えます」。だがかれらの多くは理解しない。

They say,'Should we follow the guidance with thee, we shall be snatched from our land.' Have We not established for そしてかれらは（そのために）試み（の懲罰）がないものと考えていた。それでかれらは盲目や難聴者となったが，その後アッラーは，かれらの悔悟を許しなされた。それでもかれらの多くはまたも，自ら盲目や難聴者となった。アッラーはかれらの行うところを，御存知であられる。
They were blind and deaf in their pride, thinking themselves(to be the chosen nation かれらは言う。「わたしたちが，もしあなたと一緒になって導きに従うならば，わたしたちはこの土地から追われることになろう。」われは，かれらのために安全な聖域を設け，われからの糧として凡ての果実をそこに集めたではないか。だがかれらの多くはそれが分らない。
