During the Vista years, most Windows users were still using the 32-bit version of XP, so software designers remained focused on these customers and did not pay much attention to what was possible with 64-bit Vista systems.
I do dearly tutorials on Linux but unfortunately most have Windows, and no one is interested in Linux, and it's a shame, we have nothing against Linux or the contrary, but what if acem Linux tutorials with no audience and the world is not looking?
