On April 21, 2016, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation(JBIC) hosted a task force meeting on macroeconomics within a framework for financial policy dialogue with the Indonesian government that has been in place since August 2010.
These key fiscal and economic issues should be at the forefront of the policy conversation in Washington, and our leaders should seize the opportunity to pursue sensible reforms that will put our long-term fiscal trajectory on a sustainable path.
UNESCO and the Commonwealth of Learning(COL) announced the 2012 Paris OER Declaration 16 which urged the commitment of many governments towards the ten key recommendations suggested by UNESCO's Education 203017 to facilitate policy dialogue, knowledge sharing, standard setting and global and local cooperation in OER.
The two leaders decided to continue their close cooperation in the field of environment and climate change.( ii) Mutual trust in Political and Security aspects(Convening of multi-layered policy dialogues) The two leaders decided that the two countries will continue to frequently hold high-level dialogues by utilizing opportunities afforded by regional and multilateral meetings.
In order to create awareness to promote long-term investment in agricultural research and innovations for sustainable development among policy/decision makers, APAARI organized a“High Level Policy Dialogue on Investment in Agricultural Research for Sustainable Development in the Asia-Pacific Region” on December 8-9, 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the policy dialogues, JBIC discusses various aspects, including: i the macroeconomic conditions and investment environment, and financial systems in projects' host countries, which are crucial for the stable operations of infrastructure projects, and ii regulations for infrastructure business, PPP schemes, and project formulation in infrastructure development in key sectors and major identified issues.
Building on the strength and resilience of the partnership, which has steadily developed under the PALM process for more than two decades, the Leaders renewed their determination to strengthen collaboration and engagement through policy dialogue and working on the areas specified in this Declaration in order to ensure the success of the shared future in the decades ahead.
This approach emphasizes the need to eliminate exclusion and reduce social disparities in health; organize health services around people's needs and expectations; integrate health into related sectors; pursue collaborative models of policy dialogue; and increase stakeholder participation, including the demand for and appropriate use of services.
JBIC also signed a memorandum of understanding(MOU) on policy dialogue and other issues with the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management of the Federative Republic of Brazil. This MOU is expected to promote smooth implementation of new candidate projects for JBIC's loan financing through mutual complementation and cooperation in response to a changing international situation.
We reaffirm that the Economic and Social Council is a principal body for policy review, policy dialogue and recommendations on issues of economic and social development and for the follow-up to the Millennium Development Goals and is a central mechanism for the coordination of the United Nations system and supervision of the subsidiary bodies of the Council, in particular its functional commissions, and for promoting the implementation of Agenda 21 by strengthening system-wide coherence and coordination.
We reaffirm that the Economic and Social Council is a principal body for policy review, policy dialogue and recommendations on issues of economic and social development and forthe follow-up to the Millennium Development Goals and a central mechanism for thecoordination of the United Nations system and supervision of the Council's subsidiary bodies, in particular its functional commissions, and for promoting the implementation of Agenda 21by strengthening system-wide coherence and coordination.
Japan and Korea as well as other Asian countries have participated annually in the Asian Export Control Seminar held in Tokyo, and also participated in the first Asian Export Control Policy Dialogue held in October 2003 and in the second dialogue held in October 2004 to discuss measures to prevent roundabout export of WMD and their means of delivery, the results of which were compiled in the chairman's summary/ statement.
In addition, States should adopt measures aimed at empowering children affected by international migration to participate on different levels, through consultations, collaborations and child-led initiatives, and at ensuring that civil society organizations, including children associations and child-led organizations, can participate effectively in policy dialogues and processes on children in the context of international migration, at the local, national, regional and international levels.
