These studies concern Articles 10, 11 and 12 for Supplements Nos. 7 and 8; Article 14 for Supplement No. 9; Article 61 for Supplements Nos. 8 and 9; and Article 62(4) for Supplements Nos.

In particular, during the period under review, work progressed with respect to volume II of Supplements Nos. 7, 8 and 9, and volume IV of Supplements Nos. 8 and 9.
Volume III of Supplement No. 6(1979-1984) and volume VI of Supplement No. 7(1985-1988), which have been available on the Internet for some time, have been issued in hard copy in the English language.
As a means of addressing the backlog on volume III of Supplements Nos. 7, 8 and 9(1985-1999), Articles have been identified for which studies of the Repertoire and the Repertory overlap.
The last supplement to the Repertory, of which volumes 1, 2, 5 and 6 have been published- Supplement No. 5- covers the practice of United Nations organs occurring in the period from 1 January 1970 to 31 December 1978.
During that period, the consultant was able to produce 13 studies for inclusion in volume IV of Supplements Nos. 8 and 9, thus leading to the completion of volume IV of Supplement No. 8.
A consultant, financed through the trust fund, is currently working on the preparation of a study on Article 41 for volume III of Supplements Nos. 7 to 9(1985-1999).
It had been agreed within the Secretariat that the Codification Division would reach out to partnering institutions potentially willing to draft studies on Articles 40 to 54 for volume III of Supplements Nos. 7 to 10.
The well-established cooperation with Columbia University Law School continued for the eleventh consecutive year; this contributed to the preparation of a study on Article 51 for volume III of Supplement No. 10 of the Repertory.
A consultant, financed through the trust fund, worked on the preparation of a study on Article 41 for volume III of Supplements Nos. 7 to 9(1985-1999).
The cooperation with academic institutions has been extended to the University of Ottawa, and a team of advanced students supervised by a professor is expected to undertake some other studies for Supplement No. 10.
Since the last report(A/62/124), the Secretariat finalized and submitted for translation and publication volume V of Supplements Nos. 8 and 9 in July 2008.
However, in the case of volumes 3 and 4 of Supplement No. 5, which are still to appear, it is intended for these volumes to be prepared first, before work commences on the parallel volumes of Supplement No. 6.
The well-established cooperation with Columbia University Law School continued for the fifth consecutive year and four students contributed to the preparation of studies pertaining to volume II of Supplements Nos. 7, 8 and 9.
Furthermore, several other studies are currently under preparation, corresponding to volume II of Supplements Nos. 7, 8 and 9 and volume IV of Supplements Nos.
As a means of addressing the backlog on volume II of Supplements No. 7, 8 and 9(1985-1999), articles on which studies of the Repertoire and the Repertory overlapped had been identified.
Regarding volume III, Supplements Nos. 7 to 9(1985-1999), a draft study on Article 35 of the Charter is currently being prepared in cooperation with the University of Ottawa.
Concerning the Repertory, it was reported that further progress had been made in the preparation of studies pertaining to volume III, Supplements 7 to 9(1985-1999).
Regarding volume III, Supplements Nos. 7 to 9(1985-1999), a draft study on Article 53 of the Charter is currently being prepared by the Codification Division.
Following the briefings, a number of delegations expressed their concerns over the lack of progress with regard to Supplements 7, 8 and 9 of volume III and sought further explanations in this regard.
