Section H makes observations on difficulties encountered by some Parties in following the UNFCCC guidelines, which could be taken up in any discussion on revision of the guidelines.
At its ninety-third session, held from 7 to 25 July 2008, the Human Rights Committee continued to discuss a paper prepared by one of its members on the revision of guidelines for States parties reports under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, confirming its decision to redraft its current guidelines in order to ensure, inter alia, their compatibility with the guidelines of the common core document.
(a) To work intersessionally, preferably through electronic means, with a view to undertaking consultations, principally with the United Nations Sub-Committee of Experts on the Globally Harmonized System on Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, on the preparation of guidelines on hazard characteristic and on the revision of such guidelines adopted by the Conference of the Parties;
Agrees to establish a small intersessional working group, to be lead by Brazil, on the revision of the technical guidelines on environmentally sound management of used tyres that shall work by electronic means in particular;
prepare workshop reports in order to reflect the progress of the work on the revision of review guidelines and to provide inputs to discussions at SBSTA sessions.
