और आद की ओर उनके भाई हूद को भेजा। उसने कहा,"ऐ मेरी क़ौम के लोगो!

They said,"Hud, you have not shown us any miracles. We shall not give up our idols because of what you say and we shall not
उन्होंने कहा,"ऐ हूद! तू हमारे पास कोई स्पष्ट प्रमाण लेकर नहीं आया है। तेरे कहने से हम अपने इष्ट-पूज्यों को नहीं छोड़ सकते

They said,"Hud, you have not shown us any miracles.
वह लोग कहने लगे ऐ हूद तुम हमारे पास कोई दलील लेकर तो आए नहीं

To the'Ad people,(We sent) Hud, one of their(own)
और(हमने) क़ौम आद की तरफ उनके भाई हूद को(रसूल बनाकर भेजा)

O my people, do not let your opposition to me bring upon you a fate similar to the peoples of Noah or Hud or Salih; nor is it long since the people of Lot were punished!
ऐ मेरी क़ौम के लोगो! मेरे प्रति तुम्हारा विरोध कहीं तुम्हें उस अपराध पर न उभारे कि तुमपर वही बीते जो नूह की क़ौम या हूद की क़ौम या सालेह की क़ौम पर बीत चुका है, और लूत की क़ौम तो तुमसे कुछ दूर भी नहीं।!

Hud said:"Torment and wrath have already fallen on you from your Lord.
हूद ने जवाब दिया(कि बस समझ लो)

And remember(Hud) the brother of'Ad, when he warned his people in
और(ऐ रसूल) तुम आद को भाई(हूद) को याद करो जब उन्होंने अपनी क़ौम को(सरज़मीन)

O my people, do not let your defiance toward me lead you to be visited by the like of what was visited on the people of Noah, or the people of Hud, or the people of Salih, and the people of Lot are not distant from you.
और ऐ मेरी क़ौमे मेरी ज़िद कही तुम से ऐसा जुर्म न करा दे जैसी मुसीबत क़ौम नूह या हूद या सालेह पर नाज़िल हुई थी वैसी ही मुसीबत तुम पर भी आ पड़े और लूत की क़ौम(का ज़माना) तो(कुछ ऐसा) तुमसे दूर नहीं उन्हीं के इबरत हासिल करो।

Hud said,"Already have defilement and anger fallen upon you from your Lord.
हूद ने जवाब दिया(कि बस समझ लो)

And O my people, let not[your] dissension from me cause you to be struck by that similar to what struck the people of Noah or the people of Hud or the people of Salih. And the people of Lot are not from you far away.
और ऐ मेरी क़ौमे मेरी ज़िद कही तुम से ऐसा जुर्म न करा दे जैसी मुसीबत क़ौम नूह या हूद या सालेह पर नाज़िल हुई थी वैसी ही मुसीबत तुम पर भी आ पड़े और लूत की क़ौम(का ज़माना) तो(कुछ ऐसा) तुमसे दूर नहीं उन्हीं के इबरत हासिल करो।

And, O my people! let not opposition to me make you guilty so that there may befall you the like of what befell the people of Nuh, or the people of Hud, or the people of Salih, nor are the people of Lut far off from you;
और ऐ मेरी क़ौमे मेरी ज़िद कही तुम से ऐसा जुर्म न करा दे जैसी मुसीबत क़ौम नूह या हूद या सालेह पर नाज़िल हुई थी वैसी ही मुसीबत तुम पर भी आ पड़े और लूत की क़ौम(का ज़माना) तो(कुछ ऐसा) तुमसे दूर नहीं उन्हीं के इबरत हासिल करो।

Remember(Hud) the brother of'Ad. When he warned his people in Ahqaf-- though many a warner had come and gone before and after him:"Do not worship any one but God, for I fear the punishment of an awful day for you.
और(ऐ रसूल) तुम आद को भाई(हूद) को याद करो जब उन्होंने अपनी क़ौम को(सरज़मीन) अहक़ाफ में डराया और उनके पहले और उनके बाद भी बहुत से डराने वाले पैग़म्बर गुज़र चुके थे(और हूद ने अपनी क़ौम से कहा) कि ख़ुदा के सिवा किसी की इबादत न करो क्योंकि तुम्हारे बारे में एक बड़े सख्त दिन के अज़ाब से डरता हूँ।

And O my people! May not your opposition to me occasion the coming upon you of the thing similar to what befell the people of Nooh or the people of Hud or the people of Saleh; and the people of Lut are not at all far from you!”.
ऐ मेरी क़ौम के लोगो! मेरे प्रति तुम्हारा विरोध कहीं तुम्हें उस अपराध पर न उभारे कि तुमपर वही बीते जो नूह की क़ौम या हूद की क़ौम या सालेह की क़ौम पर बीत चुका है, और लूत की क़ौम तो तुमसे कुछ दूर भी नहीं।

Recount to them the story of(Hud), the brother of(the tribe of)'Ad. Hud warned his people beside the sand-dunes-- and there have been other warners before him and since his time-- saying:“Serve none but Allah. Verily I fear that the chastisement of an awesome day shall come upon you.”.
आद के भाई को याद करो, जबकि उसने अपनी क़ौम के लोगों को अहक़ाफ़ में सावधान किया, और उसके आगे और पीछे भी सावधान करनेवाले गुज़र चुके थे- कि,"अल्लाह के सिवा किसी की बन्दगी न करो। मुझे तुम्हारे बारे में एक बड़े दिन की यातना का भय है।
