تُف ہے تم پر اور اس پر جس کی تم اللہ کے سوا عبادت کرتے ہو۔ پس کیا تم عقل نہیں کرتے؟?

And he who says to his parents: Fie on you! do you threaten me that I.
اور جس شخص نے کہا اپنے ماں باپ کو، میں بیزار ہوں تم سے کیا مجھ کو وعدے دیتے خوف

Burn him in the fie of Hell, then fasten him with a chain seventy cubits long.
گردن میں طوق ڈال دو پھر اسے جہنّم میں جھونک دو اور اس کو ٧٠ فٹ لمبی زنجیر میں

Fie upon you and upon that which ye worship beside Allah! Will ye not then reflect?
میں تم سے اور جنہیں الله کے سوا پوجتے ہو بیزار ہوں پھر کیا تمھیں عقل نہیں ہے?

Fie upon you, and upon that which you worship besides Allah! Have you then no sense?".
میں تم سے اور جنہیں الله کے سوا پوجتے ہو بیزار ہوں پھر کیا تمھیں عقل نہیں ہے

I served the Holy Prophet for ten years, and he never said to me,'fie', nor did he ever say'Why have you done this', or'Why have you not done that'.".
انس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں، میں نے دس سال نبی ﷺ کی خدمت کی، لیکن آپ نے مجھے کبھی اُف تک نہ کہا، اور نہ ہی یہ کہا کہ تو نے یہ کام کیوں کیا اور وہ کام کیوں نہیں کیا۔ متفق علیہ

Thy Lord has decreed you shall not serve any but Him, and to be good to parents, whether one or both of them attains old age with thee; say not to them'Fie' neither chide them, but speak unto them words respectful.
تیرے رب نے فیصلہ کر دیا ہے کہ: تم لوگ کسی کی عبادت نہ کرو، مگر صرف اُس کی والدین کے ساتھ نیک سلوک کرو اگر تمہارے پاس اُن میں سے کوئی ایک، یا دونوں، بوڑھے ہو کر رہیں تو انہیں اف تک نہ کہو، نہ انہیں جھڑک کر جواب دو، بلکہ ان سے احترام کے ساتھ بات کرو

Your Lord has decreed:(i) Do not worship any but Him;(ii) Be good to your parents; and should both or any one of them attain old age with you, do not say to them even"fie" neither chide them, but speak to them with respect.
اور آپ کے رب نے حکم فرما دیا ہے کہ تم اﷲ کے سوا کسی کی عبادت مت کرو اور والدین کے ساتھ حسنِ سلوک کیا کرو، اگر تمہارے سامنے دونوں میں سے کوئی ایک یا دونوں بڑھاپے کو پہنچ جائیں تو انہیں”اُف“ بھی نہ کہنا اور انہیں جھڑکنا بھی نہیں اور ان دونوں کے ساتھ بڑے ادب سے بات کیا کرو

Your Lord has decreed that you shall not worship anyone except Him, and[He has enjoined] kindness to parents. Should any of them or both reach old age at your side, do not say to them,‘Fie!' And do not chide them, but speak to them noble words.
اور آپ کے رب نے حکم فرما دیا ہے کہ تم اﷲ کے سوا کسی کی عبادت مت کرو اور والدین کے ساتھ حسنِ سلوک کیا کرو، اگر تمہارے سامنے دونوں میں سے کوئی ایک یا دونوں بڑھاپے کو پہنچ جائیں تو انہیں”اُف“ بھی نہ کہنا اور انہیں جھڑکنا بھی نہیں اور ان دونوں کے ساتھ بڑے ادب سے بات کیا کرو
