پھر نوح کے بعد ہم نے اور پیغمبر اپنی اپنی قوم کی طرف بھیجے۔ تو وہ ان کے پاس کھلی نشانیاں لے کر آئے۔ مگر وہ لوگ ایسے نہ تھے کہ جس چیز کی پہلے تکذیب کرچکے تھے اس پر ایمان لے آتے۔ اسی طرح ہم زیادتی کرنے والوں کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دیتے ہیں

تصدیق نہ کرسکے اور ہم اسی طرح ظالموں کے دل پر مہر لگادیتے ہیں

Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth after its(former) residents that if We please We would afflict them on account of their faults and set a seal on their hearts so they would not hear.
اور کیا ان لوگوں کو جو زمین کے وارث ہوئے وہاں کے لوگوں کی ہلاکت کے بعد(ان واقعات مذکوره نے) یہ بات نہیں بتلائی کہ اگر ہم چاہیں تو ان کے جرائم کے سبب ان کو ہلاک کر ڈالیں اور ہم ان کے دلوں پر بند لگا دیں، پس وه نہ سن سکیں

though they are rich; they have chosen to be with those who remained behind, and Allah has set a seal upon their hearts so they do not know.
ان کے دلوں پر مہر خداوندی لگ چکی ہے جس سے وه محض بے علم ہو گئے ہیں

Does it not dawn upon those who inherited the earth after its[former] inhabitants that if We wish We will punish them for their sins, and set a seal on their hearts so they would not hear?
کیا ان لوگوں کو جو اہلِ زمین کے(مرجانے کے) بعد زمین کے مالک ہوتے ہیں، یہ امر موجب ہدایت نہیں ہوا کہ اگر ہم چاہیں تو ان کے گناہوں کے سبب ان پر مصیبت ڈال دیں۔ اور ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگادیں کہ کچھ سن ہی نہ سکیں?

کیا ان لوگوں کا کہنا یہ ہے کہ رسول, اللہ پر جھوٹے بہتان باندھتا ہے جب کہ خدا چاہے تو تمہارے قلب پر بھی مہر لگا سکتا ہے اور خدا

Allah has sent him astray despite his having knowledge, and set a seal upon his ears and his heart, and a covering upon his eyes; so who will guide him after Allah?
میں پھینک دیا اور اُس کے دل اور کانوں پر مہر لگا دی اور اُس کی آنکھوں پر پردہ ڈال دیا؟ اللہ کے بعد اب
