عملاً بقرار الجمعية العامة 57/270 باء والفقرة 18(ن) من ولاية الدوحة، ينبغي أن يسهم الأونكتاد في تنفيذ ومتابعة نتائج المؤتمرات الرئيسية ومؤتمرات القمة التي عقدتها الأمم المتحدة والمحور المشترك لتلك القرارات والمقررات هو تناول وتقييم كيفية قيام منظومة المجلس، ولا سيما اللجان الفنية واللجان الإقليمية، بالعمل على تنفيذ ومتابعة نتائج المؤتمرات الرئيسية ومؤتمرات القمة التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة، وكيفية قيام المجلس بتعزيز مساهمته في العمل At its fifty-eighth session, the General Assembly urged Governments to give due consideration to the role and contribution of cooperatives in the implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the World Summit for Social Development and the recent United Nations summits and conferences, including their five-year reviews; and requested the Secretary-General to submit a report on the implementation of the resolution, focusing on the role of cooperatives in the eradication of poverty, to the Assembly at its sixtieth session(resolution 58/131).
