Under the laws that regulate education, it has been determined that education is an activity of special social significance, available to every child under the same conditions, according to their capabilities and interest, and in accordance with their needs.

These provisions require that attention be paid to the rights and special needs of indigenous women when determining appropriate measures to improve the economic and social condition of indigenous peoples, and to ensure respect or equality between indigenous men and women.
