Notes with satisfaction the progress in the work of the Commission, that it is giving current consideration to three new submissions that have been made regarding the establishment of the outer limits of the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles, and that a number of States have advised of their intention to make submissions in the near future;

The Commission recalled that it had already had the opportunity to convey its views on several of the measures identified in the letter, including through the letters of the Chairperson to the President of the Meeting of States Parties and presentations made to the Meeting of States Parties since 2005 and the Informal Working Group since 2010, as well as through the statements of the Chairperson on the progress in the work of the Commission.
