Outcome 2.3 calls affected country Parties to integrate their NAPs and SLM and land degradation issues into development planning and relevant sectoral and investment plans and policies.
This group also needs support from their main partners, in order to enable them to finalize their NAPs as quickly as possible in line with the guidelines set out in the Convention;
while others indicate that there is real consistency between their NAPs and their regional, subregional and local action programmes.
A decision at the sixth session of the Conference of the Parties(COP 6) should invite affected country Parties and developed country Parties to set up, on a voluntary basis, a country-driven consultative mechanism in countries that have finalized their NAPs.
