And in the absence of Moses his people made the image of a calf from their ornaments, which lowed. Did they not observe that it could neither speak nor give them any guidance? And still they made it an object of worship. They were indeed wrong-doing.
In his absence, the people of Moses made a calf from their ornaments, an image which made a lowing sound. Could they not see that it did not speak to them or guide them in any way? Yet they took to worshipping it: they were evil-doers.
The people of Moses made, in his absence, out of their ornaments, the image of calf,(for worship): it seemed to low: did they not see that it could neither speak to them, nor show them the way? They took it for worship and they did wrong.
And if each unjust soul owned everything that is in the earth, it would have certainly given it in order to redeem itself; and they secretly felt repentant when they saw the punishment; and it has been judged between them with fairness and they will not be wronged.
Were any soul that has done wrong to possess whatever there is on the earth, it would surely offer it for ransom. They will hide their remorse when they sight the punishment; and judgement will be made between them with justice and they will not be wronged..
If every soul that has done evil possessed all that is in the earth, he would offer it for his ransom; and they will be secretly remorseful when they see the chastisement, and justly the issue is decided between them, and they are not wronged.
If every wrongdoer possessed all that was on the earth, he would seek to ransom himself with it: when they see the punishment, they will repent in secret. But judgement will be passed upon them in all fairness, and they will not be wronged.
In the absence of Moses his people prepared the image of a calf from their ornaments, which gave out the mooing of a cow. Yet they did not see it could neither speak to them nor guide them to the right path. Even then they took it(for a deity) and did wrong.
And the people of Musa(Moses) made in his absence, out of their ornaments, the image of a calf(for worship). It had a sound(as if it was mooing). Did they not see that it could neither speak to them nor guide them to the way? They took it for worship and they were Zalimun wrong-doers.
So the roots of the people who did wrong were cut off. And all the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the'Alamin mankind, jinns, and all that exists.
So the people that committed wrong were eliminated. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
So of the people who did wrong the last remnant was cut off. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds!
Was Allah to seize the people immediately for their Dhulm(wrong-doing; injustice), no living creature would be left on earth.
When the wrongdoers face their punishment, it shall not be lightened for them, nor shall they be granted any reprieve.
And when those who did wrong(the disbelievers) will see the torment, then it will not be lightened unto them, nor will they be given respite.
And the Cry overtook those who did wrong, so that morning found them prostrate in their dwellings.
And these towns- We destroyed them when they committed injustice, and We had set an appointed time for their destruction.
And these cities! We destroyed them when they did wrong, and We had appointed for their destruction a tryst.
