According to the programme of work of the tenth session of the Committee on Science and Technology as contained in decision 26/COP.9, the CST is to discuss enhanced scientific cooperation and knowledge exchange with the scientific subsidiary bodies of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel of the Global Environment Facility and relevant specialized agencies of the United Nations.
