At its sixty-first session, the General Assembly noted with appreciation the work of the Consultative Organization aimed at strengthening the efforts of the United Nations in respect of issues such as combating corruption, international terrorism and trafficking in women and children, as well as human rights issues; and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its sixty-third session a report on cooperation between the United Nations and the Consultative Organization(resolution 61/5).
In section VI, paragraphs 2 and 3, of its resolution 58/250, the General Assembly recalled the need to consider biennialization and triennialization of the agenda items of the Fifth Committee, in accordance with the guidelines on the rationalization of the agenda of the Assembly and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its fifty-ninth session, through the Committee on Conferences, proposals on the possibility of biennializing this item.
At its sixty-seventh session, the General Assembly encouraged further cooperation between the United Nations and the Council of Europe; requested the Secretary-General and the Council of Europe to combine their efforts in seeking answers to global challenges, within their respective mandates; and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its sixty-ninth session a report on cooperation between the two organizations in the implementation of the resolution(resolution 67/83).

In paragraph 11 of its resolution 54/248 B, the General Assembly decided to include all necessary resources in the budget for the biennium 2000-2001 to provide interpretation services for meetings of regional and other major groupings of Member States upon request by those groupings, on an ad hoc basis, in accordance with established practice, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its fifty-fifth session, through the Committee on Conferences, a report on the implementation of that decision.
Moreover, in paragraph 9 of section A of resolution 52/214, the General Assembly decided to include all necessary resources in the budget for the biennium 1998- 1999 to provide interpretation services for meetings of regional and other major groupings of Member States upon request by those groupings, on an ad hoc basis, in accordance with established practice, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its fifty-third session, through the Committee on Conferences, a report on the implementation of that decision.
At its resumed fifty-eighth session, in June 2004, the General Assembly authorized the Secretary-General to enter into commitments in the amount of $6 million for United Nations support to the Cameroon-Nigeria Mixed Commission until 30 November 2004, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly a comprehensive financial report on the requirements for United Nations support to the Cameroon-Nigeria Mixed Commission for its consideration at the early part of its fifty-ninth session(resolution 58/294).
Moreover, in section A, paragraph 9, of its resolution 52/214 of 22 December 1997, the General Assembly decided to include all necessary resources in the budget for the biennium 1998- 1999 to provide interpretation services for meetings of regional and other major groupings of Member States upon request by those groupings, on an ad hoc basis, in accordance with established practice, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its fifty-third session, through the Committee on Conferences, a report on the implementation of that decision.
Furthermore, in paragraph 11 of its resolution 54/248 B, the General Assembly decided to include all necessary resources in the budget for the ensuing biennium to provide interpretation services for meetings of regional and other major groupings of Member States upon request by those groupings, on an ad hoc basis, in accordance with established practice, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its fifty-fifth session, through the Committee on Conferences, a report on the implementation of this decision.
Furthermore, in paragraph 28 of resolution 53/208 A, the Assembly decided to include all necessary resources in the budget for the ensuing biennium to provide interpretation services for meetings of regional and other major groupings of Member States upon request by those groupings, on an ad hoc basis, in accordance with established practice, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its fifty-fourth session, through the Committee on Conferences, a report on the implementation of that decision.
At its sixty-fourth session, the General Assembly noted with appreciation the convening of the second session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, held in Geneva from 16 to 19 June 2009, reiterated its request to the Secretary-General to explore all means of securing additional funding to ensure predictable and stable financial resources for the operation of the secretariat, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its sixty-fifth session a report on the implementation of the resolution(resolution 64/200).
At its sixty-third session, the General Assembly expressed its regret that the 2005 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons had been unable to achieve any substantive result and that the 2005 World Summit Outcome had failed to make any reference to nuclear disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its sixty-fourth session a report on the implementation of the resolution(resolution 63/46).

At its sixty-second session, in 2007, the General Assembly expressed its regret that the 2005 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons had been unable to achieve any substantive result and that the 2005 World Summit Outcome had failed to make any reference to nuclear disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation; and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its sixty-third session a report on the implementation of the resolution(resolution 62/42).
In section II, paragraph 18, of its resolution 56/242, the Assembly decided to include all necessary resources in the budget for the biennium 2002-2003 to provide interpretation services for meetings of regional and other major groupings of Member States upon request by those groups, on an ad hoc basis, in accordance with established practice, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its fifty-seventh session, through the Committee on Conferences, a report on the implementation of that decision.
In section II A, paragraph 14, of the same resolution, the General Assembly reaffirmed its decision to include all necessary resources in the budget for the biennium 2004-2005 to provide interpretation services for meetings of regional and other major groupings of Member States upon request by those groups, on an ad hoc basis, in accordance with established practice, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its fifty-eighth session, through the Committee on Conferences, a report on the implementation of that decision.

At the same session, the General Assembly decided to hold informal consultations of the Assembly with a view to taking a final decision on the need to hold a follow-up conference on financing for development by 2013, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly, at its sixty-seventh session, an annual analytical assessment of the status of implementation of the Monterrey Consensus and Doha Declaration on Financing for Development, to be prepared in collaboration with the major institutional stakeholders(resolution 66/191).
