So today ransom shall not be accepted from you
پس آج نہ تم سے کوئی تاوان لیا جائے گا

To-day therefore no ransom will be accepted of you
تو آج تم سے معاوضہ نہیں لیا جائے گا

And dread the Day when no one shall avail anyone in any way; nor shall any ransom be accepted from anyone; nor shall intercession profit any body;
اوراس دن سے ڈرو جس دن کوئی بھی کسی کے کام نہ آئے گا اور نہ اس سے بدلہ قبول کیا جائے گا اور نہ اسے کوئی سفارش نفع دے گی

اور ڈرو اُس دن سے، جب کوئی کسی کے ذرا کام نہ آئے گا، نہ کسی سے فدیہ قبول کیا جائے گا، نہ کوئی سفارش ہی آدمی کو فائدہ دے گی،

the whole earth in order to ransom themselves from the torment in the life hereafter, still their ransom would not have been accepted. For them there will be a painful torment.
اسے دے کر قیامت کے عذاب سے اپنی جان چھڑائیں تو ان سے نہ لیا جائے گا اور ان کے لئے دکھ کا عذاب ہے

To-day therefore no ransom will be accepted of you
پس آج نہ تم سے کوئی تاوان لیا جائے گا

So no ransom will be accepted of you on this day,
تو آج تم سے معاوضہ نہیں لیا جائے گا اور نہ(وہ) کافروں ہی سے(قبول کیا جائے گا)

And dread the Day when no one shall avail anyone in any way; nor shall any ransom be accepted from anyone; nor shall intercession profit any body;
اور(قیامت کے) اس دن سے ڈرو۔ جب کوئی کسی کو کوئی فائدہ نہیں پہنچا سکے گا اور نہ کسی سے فدیہ قبول کیا جائے گا۔ اور نہ ہی سفارش

Beware of the Day when no soul will compensate for another, neither will any ransom be accepted from it, nor will any intercession benefit it,
اوراس دن سے ڈرو جس دن کوئی بھی کسی کے کام نہ آئے گا اور نہ اس سے بدلہ قبول کیا جائے گا

تو آج تم سے معاوضہ نہیں لیا جائے گا

So this Day no ransom shall be taken from you(hypocrites),
پس آج نہ تم سے کوئی تاوان لیا جائے گا

And fear a Day when no human being shall avail another. Nor shall ransom be accepted from any of them, nor shall intercession be
اوراس دن سے ڈرو جس دن کوئی بھی کسی کے کام نہ آئے گا اور نہ اس سے بدلہ قبول کیا جائے گا

So this Day no ransom shall be taken from you(hypocrites),
تو آج تم سے معاوضہ نہیں لیا جائے گا

And some of the ignorant are those who when spending in Allah's cause consider it a ransom, and await the coming of the cycles(of misfortunes)
کچھ گنوار دیہاتی ایسے بھی ہیں کہ جو کچھ خدا کی راہ میں خرچ کرتے ہیں اسے تاوان سمجھتے ہیں اور تمہارے حق میں(زمانے کی)

Have fear of the day when every soul will be responsible for itself, no ransom will be accepted for it,
اور اس دن سے ڈرو جس دن کوئی کسی کا فدیہ نہ ہوسکے گا اور نہ کوئی معاوضہ کام آئے گا نہ کوئی سفارش ہوگی

nor will any ransom be taken from it,
اس کی طرف سے بدلہ لیا جائے گا
