The Advisory Committee recalls that for peacekeeping special accounts, the General Assembly had in the past approved special arrangements with regard to the application of article IV of the Financial Regulations of the United Nations, whereby any unliquidated obligations relating to goods supplied and services rendered by Governments providing contingents and/or logistic support to peacekeeping operations would remain valid for an additional period of four years, following the end of the 12-month period provided for in regulation 4.3.
