اور اگر ہم ان لوگوں کو اس سے پہلے(ہی) کسی عذاب کے ذریعہ ہلاک کرڈالتے تو یہ کہتے: اے ہمارے رب! تو نے ہمارے پاس کسی رسول کو کیوں نہ بھیجا کہ ہم تیری آیتوں کی پیروی کرلیتے اس سے قبل کہ ہم ذلیل اور رسوا ہوتے

(The Lord said),"Those who worshipped the calf will be afflicted by the wrath of their Lord and disgraced in their worldly life. Thus, We will recompense those who invent falsehood.
(جواب میں ارشاد ہوا کہ)"جن لوگوں نے بچھڑے کو معبود بنایا وہ ضرور اپنے رب کے غضب میں گرفتار ہو کر رہیں گے اور دنیا کی زندگی میں ذلیل ہوں گے جھوٹ گھڑنے والوں کو ہم ایسی ہی سزا دیتے ہیں

بیشک وہ جو بچھڑا لے بیٹھے عنقریب انہیں ان کے رب کا غضب اور ذلت پہنچناہے دنیا کی زندگی میں، اور ہم ایسی ہی بدلہ دیتے ہیں بہتان ہایوں(باندھنے والوں) کو

And had We destroyed them With a torment before it, surely they would have said: O our Lord why sent not Thou Unto us an apostle that we might have followed Thy signs before we were disgraced and humiliated.
اور اگر ہم ان لوگوں کو اس سے پہلے(ہی) کسی عذاب کے ذریعہ ہلاک کرڈالتے تو یہ کہتے: اے ہمارے رب! تو نے ہمارے پاس کسی رسول کو کیوں نہ بھیجا کہ ہم تیری آیتوں کی پیروی کرلیتے اس سے قبل کہ ہم ذلیل اور رسوا ہوتے

اور اگر ہم ان لوگوں کو اس سے پہلے(ہی) کسی عذاب کے ذریعہ ہلاک کرڈالتے تو یہ کہتے: اے ہمارے رب! تو نے ہمارے پاس کسی رسول کو کیوں نہ بھیجا کہ ہم تیری آیتوں کی پیروی کرلیتے اس سے قبل کہ ہم ذلیل اور رسوا ہوتے

Go back to them: we shall most certainly come upon them with forces which they will never be able to withstand, and shall most certainly cause them to be driven from their lands, disgraced and humbled!".
تو ان کے پاس(تحفہ سمیت) واپس پلٹ جا سو ہم ان پر ایسے لشکروں کے ساتھ(حملہ کرنے) آئیں گے جن سے انہیں مقابلہ(کی طاقت) نہیں ہوگی اور ہم انہیں وہاں سے بے عزت کر کے اس حال میں نکالیں گے کہ وہ(قیدی بن کر) رسوا ہوں گے
