The main thing I have to do is to underline on behalf of our group what Mr Rapkay has, in his role as rapporteur,
very broadly consistent-. and I stress very broadly, Mr Rapkay- with what Parliament has always said.
We would encourage a continuation of the open debate which has been strengthened in the course of consideration of the reports by Mr von Wogau and Mr Rapkay.
We are not discussing coal today but, Mr Rapkay, I would like to say to you that an industry in which every job is subsidized by DM 120 000 a year cannot survive,
I would go with Mr Rapkay's proposal of the reduction of the threshold.

Madam President, thank you very much to Mr Rapkay for his report on behalf of Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.
Part of that is through the transparency that comes from the State Aid Scoreboard, of which Mr Rapkay has been a keen exponent.

Therefore, it is a question of achieving the true objective of this proposal which, as pointed out by Mr Rapkay, is simply a European electricity
Madam President, as Mr Rapkay said, we can talk to each other as we are used to doing now that we are gathered'in the bosom of our family.
I have voted in favour of Mr Rapkay's report because the plan to phase out coal mining subsidies by 2018 is,
the majority supported the 2018 deadline, as Mr Rapkay's report suggests.
