It provided an overview of developments in the Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade(SAFE Framework) adopted under the auspices of the World Customs Organization(WCO) in 2005, and provided an update on work in the International Maritime Organization(IMO) to integrate elements of the SAFE Framework into existing IMO Conventions.
