As indicated in the note by the Secretary-General dated 18 August 2000(A/55/102/Add.1), the General Assembly will be required at its current session to appoint one person to fill the vacant seat in the membership of the Committee on Contributions for the period beginning on the date of appointment and expiring on 31 December 2002.
