At its sixty-sixth session, the General Assembly encouraged Member States to mainstream social integration objectives into social inclusion policies, invited stakeholders to exchange views and share information on sound social inclusion policies and best practices, and requested the Secretary-General to submit a report on the implementation of the resolution at its sixty-eighth session(resolution 66/122).
In that resolution, the Council requested the Secretary-General to submit a report on the implementation of the resolution both to the Commission at its current session and to the Assembly at its sixty-fourth session as part of the report on the outcome of the implementation of the Social Summit and of the twenty-fourth special session of the Assembly.

At its sixtieth session, the General Assembly recognized that, in the context of the fight against terrorism and the reaction to counter-terrorism measures, defamation of religions became an aggravating factor that contributed to the denial of fundamental rights and freedoms of target groups, as well as their economic and social exclusion; and requested the Secretary-General to submit a report on the implementation of the resolution to the Assembly at its sixty-first session(resolution 60/150).
