inquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which thou hast heard;

มาทูลพระเยโฮวาห์นั้นเจ้าทูลท่านดังนี้ว่าพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสดังนี้ว่าเรื่องถ้อยคำซึ่งเจ้าได้ยินนั้น

that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

นมัสการปฏิมากรทองคำซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงตั้งขึ้น

I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.

เราจะกระทำให้เจ้าปรนนิบัติศัตรูของเจ้าในแผ่นดินซึ่งเจ้าไม่รู้จักเพราะความโกรธของเราเจ้าก่อไฟขึ้นซึ่งจะไหม้อยู่เป็นนิตย์

And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever;

และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับท่านว่าเราได้ยินคำอธิษฐานของเจ้าและคำวิงวอนของเจ้าซึ่งเจ้าได้กระทำต่อเรานั้นแล้วเราได้รับพระนิเวศซึ่งเจ้าได้สร้างนี้ไว้เป็นสถานบริสุทธิ์และได้ประดิษฐานนามของเราไว้ที่นั่นเป็นนิตย์

And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God.

And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.

และเจ้าจะทราบว่าเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์และทราบว่าเราได้ยินคำหมิ่นประมาททั้งปวงของเจ้าซึ่งเจ้าได้พูดต่อภูเขาทั้งหลายแห่งอิสราเอลว่ามันถูกทิ้งไว้ให้รกร้างมันถูกมอบไว้ให้เราเผาผลาญเสีย

And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering,{which is} in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

Then he watered their flocks for the twain. Then he turned aside into the shade, and said: my Lord! I verily of the good which Thou mayest send down for me I am needy.

And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.

จงปักเสากรุยทางไว้สำหรับตนทำป้ายบอกทางไว้สำหรับตัวปักใจให้ดีถึงทางหลวงคือทางซึ่งเจ้าได้ไปนั้นโออิสราเอลพรหมจารีเอ๋ยกลับเถิดกลับมายังหัวเมืองเหล่านี้ของเจ้า

But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

แต่ว่าจงลุกขึ้นยืนเถิดด้วยว่าเราได้ปรากฏแก่เจ้าเพื่อจะตั้งเจ้าไว้ให้เป็นผู้รับใช้และเป็นพยานถึงเหตุการณ์ซึ่งเจ้าเห็นและถึงเหตุการณ์ที่เราจะแสดงตัวเราเองแก่เจ้าในเวลาภายหน้า

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves.

โมเสสอ้อนวอนเพื่ออิสราเอลฝ่ายพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่าเจ้าไปเถิดด้วยว่าชาติของเจ้าซึ่งเจ้าได้นำออกจากแผ่นดินอีนั้นได้ทำความเสื่อมเสียมากแล้ว

As touching the words which thou hast heard;

But God said unto him, THOU FOOL, THIS NIGHT THY SOUL SHALL BE REQUIRED OF THEE: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

แต่พระเจ้าตรัสแก่เขาว่าเจ้าโง่ในคืนวันนี้ชีวิตของเจ้าจะต้องเรียกเอาไปจากเจ้าแล้วของซึ่งเจ้าได้รวบรวมไว้นั้นจะเป็นของใครเล่า?

to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

เป็นพยานถึงเหตุการณ์ซึ่งเจ้าเห็นและถึงเหตุการณ์ที่เราจะแสดงตัวเราเองแก่เจ้าในเวลาภายหน้า

And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it.

Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets,

ซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงบัญชาไว้

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

อย่ากลัวความทุกข์ทรมานต่างๆซึ่งเจ้าจะได้รับนั้นดูเถิดพญามารจะขังพวกเจ้าบางคนไว้ในคุกเพื่อจะลองใจเจ้าและเจ้าทั้งหลายจะได้รับความทุกข์ทรมานถึงสิบวันแต่เจ้าจงสัตย์ซื่อจนถึงความตายและเราจะมอบมงกุฎแห่งชีวิตให้แก่เจ้า
