وأكدت الجمعية العامة على الحاجة إلى استعمال تكنولوجيات المعلومات والاتصالات بوصفها أداة استراتيجية لتعزيز كفاءة وفعالية وآثار البرامج الإنمائية وأنشطة التعاون التقني لمنظومة الأمم المتحدة

In this connection, it notes with pleasure the provisions of paragraph 11 which welcome the steps taken by the system in achieving overall improvement in the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of the United Nations system in delivering development assistance.

وفي هذا الصدد، يسرها أن تشير إلى أحكام الفقرة ١١ التي ترحب بالخطوات التي اتخذتها المنظومة لتحقيق تحسن عام في الفعالية والكفاءة وأثر منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في تقديم المساعدة اﻹنمائية

In resolution 57/295 the General Assembly affirmed the need to use information and communication technologies as a strategic tool to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of the development programmes and technical cooperation activities of the United Nations system.

وقد أكدت الجمعية العامة في القرار 57/295 الحاجة إلى استعمال تكنولوجيات المعلومات والاتصالات بوصفها أداة استراتيجية لتعزيز كفاءة وفعالية وآثار البرامج الإنمائية وأنشطة التعاون التقني التي تقوم بها منظومة الأمم المتحدة

Despite the challenges remaining, UNMIL had been innovative in working with the country team in the interests of greater efficiency, effectiveness and impact and of advancing the" One United Nations" approach.

Emphasizing that the division ' s interventions were based on four criteria(competence, catalytic, ahead of the curve and demand-driven) and five core values(relevance, quality, efficiency, effectiveness and impact), he introduced the six flagship products(World Investment Report, FDI statistics, investment policy reviews, IIAs, investment facilitation and ISAR), and reviewed the division ' s accomplishments in terms of both outputs produced and impacts achieved.
