WEU expressed its readiness to provide any useful information that comes to its notice on the implementation of the measures imposed by resolution 1160(1998), in particular through its Multinational Advisory Police Element(MAPE) established in Albania at the  request and with the  cooperation of the  Albanian authorities.

(1997) concerning Sierra Leone The  Committee established pursuant to resolution 1132(1997) concerning Sierra Leone is mandated by the  Security Council to oversee the implementation of the measures imposed by resolution 1171(1998), which consist of  an arms embargo on non-governmental forces in Sierra Leone and travel restrictions on members of the  former military junta and of the  Revolutionary United Front as designated by the  Committee.
(d) To report to the  Council in writing, through the  Committee, on the implementation of the measures imposed by the  Council in paragraph 20 of  its resolution 1493(2003) and on the implementation of the measures  set out in paragraphs 1, 6, 10, 13
On 16 March 2006, the  Committee sent a note verbale to all Member States, informing them, inter alia, that pursuant to paragraph 7 of  resolution 1643(2005) all Member States had an obligation to report to the  Committee on the implementation of the measures imposed by paragraphs 7, 9 and 11 of  resolution 1572(2004) and by paragraphs 4 and 6 of  resolution 1643(2005).
On 14 September 2006, by resolution 1708(2006), the  Council extended the  mandate of the  Group of  Experts until 15 December 2006 and requested that the  Group submit an update report on the implementation of the measures imposed by the  Council in paragraphs 7, 9 and 11 of  resolution 1572(2004) and paragraphs 4 and 6 of  resolution 1643(2005), with recommendations in this regard.
On 14 September 2006, by resolution 1708(2006), the  Security Council extended the  mandate of the  Group of  Experts until 15 December 2006 and requested that the  Group submit a brief written update to the  Council through the  Committee before 1 December 2006 on the implementation of the measures imposed by paragraphs 7, 9 and 11 of  resolution 1572(2004) and paragraphs 4 and 6 of  resolution 1643(2005),
On 16 March 2006, the  Committee sent a note verbale to all Member States, reminding them, inter alia, that pursuant to paragraph 7 of  resolution 1643(2005) all States concerned, in particular those in the  region, had an obligation to report to the  Committee on the implementation of the measures imposed by the  Council in paragraphs 7, 9 and 11 of  resolution 1572(2004) and paragraphs 4 and 6 of  resolution 1643(2005).
Its mandate remains, based on resolution 1874(2009), to gather, examine and analyse information from States, relevant United Nations bodies and other interested parties regarding the implementation of the measures imposed in the  resolutions, in particular incidents of  non-compliance; and make recommendations on actions that the  Council, or the  Committee or Member States, may consider to improve the implementation of the measures. .
