In addition, the Global Mechanism will continue to  mobilize voluntary contributions for its Special Resource for UNCCD Finance(SRCF) Account, to  be used for providing catalytic finance to affected developing country Parties and/or their partners in civil society, as well as organizations and entities involved in the transfer of science and technology, in conformity with the provisions of decision 24/COP.1 and IFAD ' s President Bulletin No. 99/10.
Promote and facilitate the exchange of information on measures adopted by the Parties, and determine the form and timetable for transmitting the information in accordance with Article 26, review the reports and make recommendations on them; facilitate the provision to affected developing country Parties, on request, of technical and financial support in communicating information as well as identifying technical and financial needs associated with action programmes.
As you are no doubt aware, the Convention contains an Article on financial mechanisms in general, and in particular a number of dispositions with regard to  the establishment of a Global Mechanism to  promote actions leading to  the mobilization and channelling of substantial financial resources, including for the transfer of technology, on a grant basis, and/or on concessional or other terms, to affected developing country parties.
Criterion 1(a). Endorses the strategies and work plans that have been developed  as a collaborative process involving relevant organs, organizations and programmes of the United Nations system, with the World Health Organization as task coordinator, to  provide optimal support to affected developing countries in order to  achieve the goals and objectives pertaining to  the prevention and control of malaria and diarrhoeal diseases;
Endorses the strategies and work plans that have been developed  through a collaborative process involving relevant organs, organizations and programmes of the United Nations system, with the World Health Organization as task coordinator, to  provide optimal support to affected developing countries in order to  achieve the goals and objectives pertaining to  the prevention and control of malaria and diarrhoeal diseases;
Acknowledges the actions undertaken by the GM to  comply with the requests made in decision 5/COP.6 on review of the policies, operational modalities and activities of the GM, and encourages the GM to  further strengthen its support to affected developing country Parties by means of the implementation of the consolidated strategy and enhanced approach as outlined in document ICCD/CRIC(4)/4;
in ways that would lead to  real and substantial availability of resources to affected developing countries.
Recognizing the role of the Global Mechanism of the Convention to  promote actions leading to  the mobilization and channeling of substantial financial resources, including for the transfer of technology, on a grant basis, and/or on concessional or other terms, to affected developing country Parties, and that the Global Mechanism functions under the authority and guidance of the Conference of the Parties and is accountable to  it;
Offer information, advice and technical support to affected developing countries on issues relating to  financing.
The same Convention also established the global mechanism designed to  increase financial resources to affected developing countries.
Providing substantial financial resources and other forms of assistance to affected developing country Parties 83 88 20.
