O people of the Book! wherefore disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah whereas ye bear witness?
വേദക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങളെന്തിനാണ് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ തെളിവുകളില് അവിശ്വസിക്കുന്നത്? നിങ്ങള് തന്നെ( അവയ്ക്ക്) സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കുന്നവരാണല്ലോ?It shall annihilate everything by the command of its Lord. Wherefore they became such that naught could be seen save their dwellings Thus We requite a nation of the culprits.
അതിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ കല്പന പ്രകാരം സകല വസ്തുക്കളെയും അത് നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ അവര് താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും കാണപ്പെടാത്ത അവസ്ഥയില് അവര് ആയിത്തീര്ന്നു. അപ്രകാരമാണ് കുറ്റവാളികളായ ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് നാം പ്രതിഫലം നല്കുന്നത്.Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart;
അതുകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആ തലമുറയോടു നീരസം ഉണ്ടായി. അവര് എപ്പോഴും തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്ന ഹൃദയമുള്ളവര് എന്നും എന്റെ വഴികളെ അറിയാത്തവര്but they disbelieved; wherefore Allah laid hold of them. Verily He is strong, severe in chastisement.
അവര് അവിശ്വസിച്ചു കളഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോള് അല്ലാഹു അവരെ പിടികൂടി. തീര്ച്ചയായും അവന് ശക്തനും കഠിനമായി ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനുമത്രെ.But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again?
ഇപ്പോഴോ അവന് മരിച്ചുപോയി; ഇനി ഞാന് ഉപവസിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു? അവനെ മടക്കി വരുത്തുവാന് എനിക്കു കഴിയുമോ?Wherefore they tasted the evil consequence of their affair, and the end of their affair was loss.
അങ്ങനെ അവര് അവരുടെ നിലപാടിന്റെ ദുഷ്ഫലം ആസ്വദിച്ചു. അവരുടെ നിലപാടിന്റെ പര്യവസാനം നഷ്ടം തന്നെയായിരുന്നു.Say thou: O People of the Book! wherefore disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah,
ചോദിക്കുക: വേദക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങളെന്തിനാണ് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വേദവാക്യങ്ങള് നിഷേധിച്ചുതള്ളുന്നത്?Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith,
ആകയാല് ലോകത്തില് വരുമ്പോള്“ ഹനനയാഗവും വഴിപാടും നീ ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല;Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവേഷ്ടപ്രകാരം കഷ്ടം സഹിക്കുന്നവര് നന്മ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടു തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണനെ വിശ്വസ്തനായ സ്രഷ്ടാവിങ്കല് ഭരമേല്പിക്കട്ടെ.Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
എന്നാല് ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്തിന്നു? വാഗ്ദത്തം ലഭിച്ച സന്തതിവരുവോളം അതു ലംഘനങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തതും ദൂതന്മാര് മുഖാന്തരം മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചതുമത്രേ.an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
കാംക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു; ആകയാല് ദൈവം അവരുടെ ദൈവം എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടുവാന് ലജ്ജിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവന് അവര്ക്കായി ഒരു നഗരം ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ എതിരാളിയെ മുടിക്കു പിടിച്ചു വിലാപ്പുറത്തു വാള് കുത്തിക്കടത്തി ഒരുമിച്ചു വീണു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഗിബെയോനിലെ ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു ഹെല്ക്കത്ത്- ഹസ്സൂരീം എന്നു പേരായി.And let them beware who, should they leave behind them a weakly progeny, would be afraid on their account; let them, wherefore, fear Allah, and says a proper saying.
തങ്ങള്ക്കു പിറകെ ദുര്ബലരായ മക്കളെ വിട്ടേച്ചുപോകുന്നവര് അവരെയോര്ത്ത് ആശങ്കിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ കാര്യത്തിലും അവര് ആശങ്കയുള്ളവരാകട്ടെ. അങ്ങനെ അവര് അല്ലാഹുവെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുകയും നല്ല വാക്ക് പറയുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves.
യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിച്ചുകൊള്വിന്.Wherefore let us fear the just God,
നിന്റെ ദൈവം മഹാ കോപിയാണു്, സൂക്ഷിക്കുക,Wherefore Nathan spake unto Bath-sheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not
