Many are the Jinns and men we have made for Hell: They have hearts wherewith they understand not,
ജിന്നുകളിലും മനുഷ്യരിലും ധാരാളം പേരെ നാം നരകത്തിനുവേണ്ടി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അവര്‍ക്ക് ഹൃദയങ്ങളുണ്ട്; അതുപയോഗിച്ച് അവര്‍ പഠിക്കുന്നില്ല. കണ്ണുകളുണ്ട്;

for you(to do) only that wherewith ye have been charged. If ye obey him, ye will go aright. But the messenger hath no other charge than to convey(the message) plainly.

We have created many of the jinns and mankind for Hell. They have hearts wherewith they understand not, they have eyes wherewith they see not, and they have ears wherewith they hear not(the truth). They are like cattle,
ജിന്നുകളില്‍ നിന്നും മനുഷ്യരില്‍ നിന്നും ധാരാളം പേരെ നാം നരകത്തിന് വേണ്ടി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. അവര്‍ക്ക് മനസ്സുകളുണ്ട്‌. അതുപയോഗിച്ച് അവര്‍ കാര്യം ഗ്രഹിക്കുകയില്ല. അവര്‍ക്കു കണ്ണുകളുണ്ട്‌. അതുപയോഗിച്ച് അവര്‍ കണ്ടറിയുകയില്ല. അവര്‍ക്ക് കാതുകളുണ്ട്‌. അതുപയോഗിച്ച് അവര്‍ കേട്ടു മനസ്സിലാക്കുകയില്ല. അവര്‍ കാലികളെപ്പോലെയാകുന്നു. അല്ല; അവരാണ് കൂടുതല്‍ പിഴച്ചവര്‍.

Allah hath revealed the most excellent discourse, a Book consimilar oft-repeated, whereat trembleth the skins of these who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts soften at the remembrance of Allah. This is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whomsoever He will. And whomsoever Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide.
അല്ലാഹുവാണ് ഏറ്റവും ഉത്തമമായ വര്‍ത്തമാനം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്‌. അഥവാ വചനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പരസ്പരം സാമ്യമുള്ളതും ആവര്‍ത്തിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന വചനങ്ങളുള്ളതുമായ ഒരു ഗ്രന്ഥം. തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിനെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നവരുടെ ചര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ അതു നിമിത്തം രോമാഞ്ചമണിയുന്നു. പിന്നീട് അവരുടെ ചര്‍മ്മങ്ങളും ഹൃദയങ്ങളും അല്ലാഹുവെ സ്മരിക്കുന്നതിനായി വിനീതമാവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. അതത്രെ അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ മാര്‍ഗദര്‍ശനം. അതുമുഖേന താന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവരെ അവന്‍ നേര്‍വഴിയിലാക്കുന്നു. വല്ലവനെയും അവന്‍ പിഴവിലാക്കുന്ന പക്ഷം അവന് വഴി കാട്ടാന്‍ ആരും തന്നെയില്ല.

ഏറ്റവും വിശിഷ്ടമായ വര്‍ത്തമാനമാണ് അല്ലാഹു ഇറക്കിത്തന്നത്. വചനങ്ങളില്‍ പരസ്പര ചേര്‍ച്ചയും ആവര്‍ത്തനവുമുള്ള ഗ്രന്ഥമാണിത്. അതു കേള്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ നാഥനെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നവരുടെ ചര്‍മങ്ങള്‍ രോമാഞ്ചമണിയുന്നു. പിന്നീട് അവരുടെ ചര്‍മങ്ങളും ഹൃദയങ്ങളും അല്ലാഹുവെ ഓര്‍ക്കാന്‍ പാകത്തില്‍ വിനീതമാകുന്നു. ഇതാണ് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ മാര്‍ഗദര്‍ശനം. അതുവഴി അവനിച്ഛിക്കുന്നവരെ അവന്‍ നേര്‍വഴിയിലാക്കുന്നു. അല്ലാഹു വഴികേടിലാക്കുന്നവരെ നേര്‍വഴിയിലാക്കാന്‍ ആര്‍ക്കുമാവില്ല.

Bear thou then with patience even as the apostles, endued with resolution bear with patience, and seek not to hasten on for them. On the Day whereon they will behold that wherewith they are threatened, it will seem to them as though they had tarried but an hour of the day. A proclamation this: so none will be destroyed save the nation of transgressors?
അതിനാല്‍ നീ ക്ഷമിക്കുക. ഇഛാശക്തിയുള്ള ദൈവദൂതന്മാര്‍ ക്ഷമിച്ചപോലെ. ഈ സത്യനിഷേധികളുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ നീ തിരക്കു കൂട്ടാതിരിക്കുക. അവര്‍ക്ക് വാഗ്ദാനം നല്‍കപ്പെടുന്ന ശിക്ഷ നേരില്‍ കാണുന്ന ദിവസം അവര്‍ക്കു തോന്നും: തങ്ങള്‍ പകലില്‍നിന്നൊരു വിനാഴിക നേരമല്ലാതെ ഭൂലോകത്ത് വസിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്ന്. ഇത് ഒരറിയിപ്പാണ്. ഇനിയും അധര്‍മികളല്ലാതെ ആരെങ്കിലും നാശത്തിന്നര്‍ഹരാകുമോ?

And We cut them up into twelve tribes, nations. And We revealed to Moses, when his people asked him for water:'Strike with thy staff the rock'; and there gushed forth from it twelve fountains all the people knew now their drinking-place. And We outspread the cloud to overshadow them, and We sent down manna and quails upon them:'Eat of the good things wherewith We have supplied you.' And they worked no wrong upon Us, but themselves they wronged.
അവരെ നാം പന്ത്രണ്ട് ഗോത്രങ്ങളായി അഥവാ സമൂഹങ്ങളായി വിഭജിച്ചു. മൂസായോട് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജനത കുടിവെള്ളം ചോദിച്ചു. അപ്പോള്‍ നാം അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു:" നീ നിന്റെ വടികൊണ്ട് പാറക്കല്ലില്‍ അടിക്കുക.” അങ്ങനെ അതില്‍നിന്ന് പന്ത്രണ്ട് ഉറവകള്‍ പൊട്ടിയൊഴുകി. ഓരോ വിഭാഗത്തിനും തങ്ങള്‍ വെള്ളം കുടിക്കേണ്ട സ്ഥലമേതെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കാന്‍ സാധിച്ചു. അവര്‍ക്കു നാം കാര്‍മേഘംകൊണ്ട് തണലേകി. മന്നായും സല്‍വായും ഇറക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു. നാം നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു:" നാം നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു നല്‍കിയ ഉത്തമ പദാര്‍ഥങ്ങളില്‍നിന്ന് തിന്നുകൊള്ളുക.” തങ്ങളുടെ ചെയ്തികളിലൂടെ അവര്‍ നമുക്കൊരു ദ്രോഹവും വരുത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. അവരെത്തന്നെയാണ് അവര്‍ ദ്രോഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നത്.

We divided them into twelve tribes, nations; and We inspired Moses, when his people asked him for water, saying: Smite with thy staff the rock! And there gushed forth therefrom twelve springs, so that each tribe knew their drinking-place. And we caused the white cloud to overshadow them and sent down for them the manna and the quails(saying): Eat of the good things wherewith we have provided you. They wronged Us not, but they were wont to wrong themselves.
അവരെ നാം പന്ത്രണ്ട് ഗോത്രങ്ങളായി അഥവാ സമൂഹങ്ങളായി വിഭജിച്ചു. മൂസായോട് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജനത കുടിവെള്ളം ചോദിച്ചു. അപ്പോള്‍ നാം അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു:" നീ നിന്റെ വടികൊണ്ട് പാറക്കല്ലില്‍ അടിക്കുക.” അങ്ങനെ അതില്‍നിന്ന് പന്ത്രണ്ട് ഉറവകള്‍ പൊട്ടിയൊഴുകി. ഓരോ വിഭാഗത്തിനും തങ്ങള്‍ വെള്ളം കുടിക്കേണ്ട സ്ഥലമേതെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കാന്‍ സാധിച്ചു. അവര്‍ക്കു നാം കാര്‍മേഘംകൊണ്ട് തണലേകി. മന്നായും സല്‍വായും ഇറക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു. നാം നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു:" നാം നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു നല്‍കിയ ഉത്തമ പദാര്‍ഥങ്ങളില്‍നിന്ന് തിന്നുകൊള്ളുക.” തങ്ങളുടെ ചെയ്തികളിലൂടെ അവര്‍ നമുക്കൊരു ദ്രോഹവും വരുത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. അവരെത്തന്നെയാണ് അവര്‍ ദ്രോഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നത്.

Wherewith they hear not.
അവര്‍ അതില്‍ വെച്ച്( യാതൊന്നും) കേള്‍ക്കുകയുമില്ല.

Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true.
തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു താക്കീത് നല്‍കപ്പെടുന്ന കാര്യം സത്യമായിട്ടുള്ളത് തന്നെയാകുന്നു.

Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true.
തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു താക്കീത് നല്‍കപ്പെടുന്ന കാര്യം സത്യമായിട്ടുള്ളത് തന്നെയാകുന്നു.

Eat of the good things wherewith We have provided you.".
നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നാം തന്നിട്ടുള്ള വിശിഷ്ടമായ വസ്തുക്കളില്‍ നിന്ന് നിങ്ങള്‍ ഭക്ഷിച്ച് കൊള്ളുക.

O ye who believe! spend of that wherewith We have provided.
( ഖുര്‍ആന്‍ 23:51)” സത്യവിശ്വാസികളേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നാം നല്‍കിയ വസ്തുക്കളില്‍ നിന്ന് വിശിഷ്ടമായത് ഭക്ഷിച്ചു കൊള്ളുക.

Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them.
അഥവാ നാം അവര്‍ക്ക് താക്കീത് നല്‍കിയത്( ശിക്ഷ) നിനക്ക് നാം കാട്ടിത്തരികയാണെങ്കിലോ നാം അവരുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ കഴിവുള്ളവന്‍ തന്നെയാകുന്നു.

Those who belie the Book and that message wherewith We sent Our apostles,
വേദഗ്രന്ഥത്തെയും, നാം നമ്മുടെ ദൂതന്‍മാരെ അയച്ചത് എന്തൊരു ദൌത്യം കൊണ്ടാണോ അതിനെയും നിഷേധിച്ചു കളഞ്ഞവരത്രെ അവര്‍.

Or(if) We show thee that wherewith We threaten them; for lo!
അഥവാ നാം അവര്‍ക്ക് താക്കീത് നല്‍കിയത്( ശിക്ഷ) നിനക്ക് നാം കാട്ടിത്തരികയാണെങ്കിലോ

Children of Israel, remember My blessing wherewith I blessed you, and that I have preferred you above all beings;
ഇസ്രായീല്‍ സന്തതികളേ, ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ചെയ്തു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള അനുഗ്രഹവും ജനവിഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിങ്ങളെ ഞാന്‍ ഉല്‍കൃഷ്ടരാക്കിയതും നിങ്ങള്‍ ഓര്‍ക്കുക.

Then bring upon us that wherewith thou threatenest us.
നീ സത്യവാന്‍മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലാണെങ്കില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു നീ താക്കീത് നല്‍കുന്നത്( ശിക്ഷ) ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കൊണ്ടു വന്നു തരൂ.
