DEITIES in Urdu translation

And said:“Who is better, our deities or he?” They said so only out of contentiousness. They are a disputatious people.

اور کہتے ہیں: آیا ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یا وہ(عیسٰی علیہ السلام)، وہ آپ سے یہ بات محض جھگڑنے کے لئے کرتے ہیں، بلکہ وہ لوگ بڑے جھگڑالو ہیں

And say:"Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people.

اور لگے کہنے کہ ہمارے معبود اچھے ہیں یا وہ؟ یہ مثال وہ تمہارے سامنے محض کج بحثی کے لیے لائے ہیں، حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ ہیں ہی جھگڑالو لوگ

If those had really been deities, they would not have been led there; but there they will remain forever.

اگر یہ معبود ہوتے تو اس میں داخل نہ ہوتے اور سب اس میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں

And say:"Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing.

اور کہنے لگے کہ ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یاوہ(عیسیٰ(ع))؟ وہ یہ بات محض آپ(ص)

Do they have other deities who can defend them against Us?

کیا ہمارے سوا ان کے اور معبود ہیں کہ ان کو(مصائب سے) بچاسکیں۔ وہ آپ

And say:"Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people.

Do they have other deities who can defend them against Us? They cannot even help themselves,

کیا ہمارے سوا ان کے اور معبود ہیں جو انہیں مصیبتوں سے بچا لیں۔ کوئی بھی خود اپنی مدد کی طاقت نہیں رکھتا

And they say,“Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue;

اورکہا کیا ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یا وہ یہ ذکر صرف آپ سے جھگڑنے کے لیے کرتے ہیں

And they say,“Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people.

اور کہنے لگے کہ بھلا ہمارے معبود اچھے ہیں یا عیسیٰ؟ انہوں نے عیسیٰ کی جو مثال بیان کی ہے تو صرف جھگڑنے کو۔ حقیقت یہ ہے یہ لوگ ہیں ہی جھگڑالو

And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than(Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped?

تم سے پہلے ہم نے جتنے رسول بھیجے تھے اُن سب سے پوچھ دیکھو، کیا ہم نے خدائے رحمان کے سوا کچھ دوسرے معبود بھی مقرر کیے تھے کہ اُن کی بندگی کی جائے؟?

If those had really been deities, they would not have been led there;

اگر یہ سب واقعا خدا ہوتے تو کبھی جہنمّ میں وارد نہ ہوتے حالانکہ یہ سب اسی میں ہمیشہ

These are the people of our nation who have made some others besides Him as deities.

یہ ہے ہماری قوم جس نے اس کے سوا اور معبود بنا رکھے ہیں

And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than(Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped?

اور آپ ان رسولوں سے سوال کریں جنہیں آپ سے پہلے بھیجا گیا ہے کیا ہم نے رحمٰن کے علاوہ بھی خدا قرار دیئے ہیں جن کی پرستش کی جائے?

And do not appoint other deities along with Allah; indeed I am from Him,

اور خبردار اس کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے کو خدا نہ بنانا کہ میں تمہارے لئے واضح طور پر

And they say,“Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people.

اور کہتے ہیں کیا ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یا وہ انہوں نے تم سے یہ نہ کہی مگر ناحق جھگڑے کو بلکہ وہ ہیں جھگڑالو لوگ

And when mankind are gathered(on the Day of Resurrection), they(false deities) will become enemies for them and will deny their worshipping.

اور جب لوگ(قیامت کے دن) جمع کئے جائیں گے تو وہ(معبودانِ باطلہ) ان کے دشمن ہوں گے اور(اپنی برات کی خاطر) ان کی عبادت سے ہی منکر ہو جائیں گے

(Ask them:)"Is Allah better or those deities whom they set up as His associates?"72.

(اِن سے پُوچھو)اللہ بہتر ہے یا وہ معبُود جنہیں یہ لوگ اس کا شریک بنا رہے ہیں؟ 72

Then he went quietly to the(temple of the deities) and said:“What is the matter with you,

پھر ابراہیم ان کے معبودوں کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے

Then all those deities whom they once used to call upon shall vanish

اور جن کو پہلے وہ(خدا کے سوا) پکارا کرتے تھے(سب)

And said:“Who is better, our deities or he?” They said so only out of contentiousness. They are a disputatious people.

اور کہتے ہیں کیا ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یا وہ انہوں نے تم سے یہ نہ کہی مگر ناحق جھگڑے کو بلکہ وہ ہیں جھگڑالو لوگ
